Bottle 33 cl. Pours a pitch black with a tiny brownish head. Subtle roast aroma and some distinct whisky notes. Rich body, low carbonation, heavy roast and thick barrel accents. Rich boozy finish. 271212

Bottle. Pours black with a partly lasting and medium lacing small creamy tan head. Aroma is roasted malts, brown sugar, licorice, peat, whisky, vanilla, dark fudge, herbs, butter, soy, booze and oak. Taste is heavy sweet, heavy bitter, a little salty. Body is full, texture is thick/creamy, carbonation is soft. Finishes sweet and with much heat and gets astringent in the far finish. Quite pleasant this one. I’ll have to look for the other B.A. versions.

Bottle.Haand2012. Pours black with a small beige head. Aroma of soy-sauce, whisky, spices, roasted malt and chocolate. Flavor is sweet and malty with some carmel, roasted malt, soy-sauce and alcohol. Full body,soft carbonation.

Pours opaque black, almost no head. Aroma is berries, peat, the sea, malt. Mouthfeel is thinner than I expected, and a little oily. Strong malt on finish. I don’t know the whiskey, so I can’t comment on how it affects the flavor, but the flavor is excellent.

Bottle, 11% @ FOneFan, Pre-Danish Ratebeer Summer Gathering 2012.very dark brown with small beige head. Aroma is roasted malts, chocolate, coffee and whiskey. Flavour is roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, liquorice, medium sweet, whiskey, hop, salty with notes of alcohol.

33 cl bottle from De Bierkoning @ home. Black color, no head. Aroma’s: sweet, syruppy, leather, peat, roast, whisky. Some sweet/dried fruit & alcohol retronasal. Flavor is medium sweet, a bit peaty, whisky-ish. Alcohol is quite present and warming. Very low carbonation. Finishes with some peat and bitterness.

Somewhat smoked but stout like aroma. Taste burnt, smoked malts, chocolate. Quite flat.

Bottle 330ml @ fonefan
Pours dark brown with no head. Aroma has notes of rosted malt, chocolate, licorice, oak, vanilla, Taste is Medium to heavy sweet and light bitter with a long chocolate, licorice, salty finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is flat.

Bottle. Opaque black liquid with brown edges and small tan head. Aroma of licorice, oak, light smoke/peat, coconut and sweet dark fruit. Taste is light sweet and medium bitter with notes of licorice, raw sugar and coconut. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Nice.

Black, thin laced head. Smells of whisky, roasted malts and coffee. Malty taste, very heavy sweet, liquorice and whisky. Full body, soft carb, nice bitter finish. A very smooth beer
