Flaska från Saveur Bieré. Smak och doft av mörk choklad, röda bär, aska, saltlakrits, karamell, med toner av kokos och rostade toner. Lagom sötma, salt, fin beska med toner av grapefrukt och mörk bitter choklad.

TET (2437) - Kaarina, FINLAND - JUN 14, 2015
A black beer, a head is small and light brown. Aroma has liquirice, sweetness of berries and some salt liquirice and meat. Taste has salt liquirice, some roastiness and sourness. Almost full bodied, low carbonation, slightly sticky. Simple and salt liquirice IS, no notes of unique Sorachi Ace. Good.

330ml bottle from Saveur-Biere.fr. Pours very dark with a light mocha aroma. Taste is bright and full of life. Deep, resonating Imperial stout roasted elements brightened by Sorachi’s unmistakable character adding a touch of creaminess to a slick oily feel. Big, bold and flavoursome.

Bottle. The smell of dark chocolate, mocca and coffee, malty. The beige head is foamy with a normal size, the duration is short. The body is black. A strong taste of coffee and malt, quite bitter. The body is very strong and creamy-oily, you can nearly chew it. The carbonation is rather flat.

Bottle from Brewery Creek; bb 2015-12
Black color, small head. Excellent Imperial Stout, roasty, tarred, moderately sweet, with leather notes; there is also some liquorice flavor, blue cheese aroma, cocoa nibs, light malt sourness; good bitterness level, but not necessarily evidence of Sorachi Ace.
Overall, an interesting, excellent beer.

CapFlu (5050) - Victoria, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 2, 2015
Pours a large brown creamy head atop an opaque black body. Nose of coffee and ash. Flavour is nice, smooth, with a slight alcoholic burn. Some of the roasted malt melds with a milky coffee ground leaving a tingle on one’s tongue. Purchased at Metro Liquors University Heights for around $7.
