The head is ok, the body black. It smells creamy, roasty, buttery. The taste is strange-hoppy, bitter, creamy. Not my favourite hop but drinkable! 11/8/8/8/-/8

AN interesting hop to brew with this style in my opinion. It came out great though. Robust and bitter but a nice slight citrus form the hops.

On tap: The aroma consists of chocolate, black licorice, roasted malt, and some dark fruits. It’s a dark brown, with no transparency and a small soapy brown head that quickly fades to a thin ring. The flavor starts with moderate chocolate and black licorice. The finish has roasted coffee, citrus, plum, and a touch of lemon grass. It’s medium bodied with mild carbonation.

330ml bottle from Bieresgourmet. Vertical with Ardbeg BA version

Pours pitch black with a light brown head. Aroma of vegetables, roasty malts, hints of vanilla, oak and molasses. Taste is roasty and smooth with some molasses, hints of ripe fruits, chocolate, oak and tropical notes. Finish is roasty with notes of bubblegum, dark chocolate and fruits. I’m not a huge fan of Sorachi Ace, but here it is subtle enough and doesn’t dominate the taste.

Bottle. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty hoppy aroma. Roasted malty chocolate and licorice flavor with hoppy lemon hints. Has a sweetish roasted malty chocolate and licorice finish with weak hoppy hints.
