UPDATED: MAY 2, 2012 33cl bottle thanks to ’the suddenly bald’ Dutchdrebus (see: www.spoelenmaar.nl) @ QDT’12. Pitch black opaque color, medium sized light brown head that leaves a nice lacing. Smell malts, dark malts, light roastyness, lightly coffee, moccha and earth. Taste malts, dark and roasted malts, a slight sweetness, decently bitter, lovely balance! Medium carbo, full body, medium oily texture.

First rating with a bald head. Bottle @ QDT’12. Opague black colour with a decent off-white to light brown head. Smells coffee, oak, some sweetness. Tastes hops, peat, oak, wood, weird. Okay carbo, medium body.

Lowenbrau (1000) - Asturias, Oviedo, SPAIN - APR 25, 2012
On tap at Barcelona Beer Festival 2012. Roasty aromas. Pours almost black, with regular light brown head, no persistent. Some caramel sweetness, but coffe flavors predominate, along with roast malt. Long roasty finish.

Borresteijn (3647) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - APR 11, 2012
33cl Bottle from De Bierkoning. Black colour, thin light brown head. Aroma of coffee, bubblegum, sweet tropical fruits, chocolate, a bit of pipe tobacco. Flavour is medium sweet, hard roasted malts, strawberries, coffee, some dark fruits, alcohol, firm and slightly sharp hoppy and roasted malt bitter finish with a bit of citrus. Medium to fullbodied, soft carbonation. Pretty good, but I prefer the barrel aged versions so far.

kermis (2484) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - APR 10, 2012
Bottle from Klooster shared. Black pour with a nice beige head. Coffee, pine and fresh hops in aroma. Sweet caramel, chocolate, roasted flavor with the sorachi ace coming through but not overpoweringly so. Works better than I expected it would.

Koelschtrinker (8479) - Köln (Cologne), GERMANY - APR 1, 2012
Herb-malziger, weich hopfiger Beginn. Wenig bitter, leicht trocken, der Alkohol ist nicht schmeckbar. Würzig, rund, in Teilen schon zu mild. Geringe Rauchigkeit. 10/11/10/11//11

erickok (2282) - Tours, FRANCE - MAR 15, 2012
Thick black body and brown, firm bubbly head. Chocolate fondue bourbon, nutty, dark hops. Very full body and equally full taste. Bitter, concentrated flavour. Sticky feel and lasting aftertaste. Some alcohol in the back to warm your throat. Not entirely sure the single hop makes this better, but it?s very well brewed and tasty. One of the brewer?s best. (33cl bottle, bit expensive)

From bottle @ ACBF 2012. Floral and citric hops in the aroma. Malt, roast and floral and citric hops in the flavor. Roasty oily citric hopbitter aftertaste. Typical to observe how a lot of hops can dominate such a strong and tasty imperial stout.

Ober (2763) - Bommelerwaard, NETHERLANDS - MAR 13, 2012
Bottle @ 5th ACBF 2012. A pitch black colored beer, with a small beige head. The aroma fruits, wood and whisky. The taste of some fruits, wood, notes of vanilla whisky and a little alcohol. The aftertaste is bitter with some swet.
