4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 19/20
sorachi ace works great in a RIS! tryd various singel hoped sorachi PA and IPAs, but this tops most. pitch black, small head as expected. mouthfeal thicker then most emelisses RIS, still a bit thin in my opinion. BUT, this one is a must, just to try this hop in a black.

Bottle a little while past bb date, shared. Black with short lasting bubbly light brown head that leaves a little ring of bigger bubbles. Lots of chocolate, sweet coffee, lots of red fruits, strawberries even, a touch of green onion, cognac, raisins, vanilla, fudge. Super complex. Quite sweet with nice roasted bitter finish. Almost full bodied with nice velvety feel. Very good.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
33cl bottle - best before 12/15, hence 3 months off the mark. Mahogany pour, with a thin and fine-grained beige head that is slow to rise to the surface. Smells of roasted malts, a bit of smoke, dark chocolate, cocoa, sour cherries and a bit of bourbon, as well as some bubblegum-like smell that can only be the Sorachi Ace. The taste follows the same notes, big on coffee and dark chocolate. Super smooth texture with a chocolate bitter aftertaste.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
330ml bottle pours black in color with a finger of light brown head that leaves some decent lacing on the glass. Aroma is chocolate and licorice with some roasted grains. Taste is a chocolate malty sweetness with the licorice notes and a roasted grain and citrus hop bitterness. Medium to heavy bodied with mild carbonation. Overall, a well crafted stout that must be sampled. I appreciated every sip of this beauty.
