Thanks to Zenkis! 2+ yrs cellaring. Quite a treat! Starts quite subtle, but bold on nose with a mix of old leather and vanilla, roastiness. Over time changes aroma to more intense roasty level. Smooth roasted malt presence boosted by nice cocoa, vanilla, light oakiness from BA. Mostly sweet with light bitterness. Enjoyable brew.

(Draught at Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 28 Feb 2015) Black colour with dense, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of dark chocolate, black coffee, vanilla, bourbon and oak wood. Malty, roasted taste with strong black coffee, cacao, liquorice, vanilla, oak wood, bourbon and a warming finish with a generous coffee bitterness and a touch of alcohol. Full body, fairly sweet. Tasty and warming imperial stout with a balanced bourbon character. Excellent beer!

White label provided by Rob the emperical mastermind. White label. Consumed at Rustende Jager lobby whilst watching the sleet storm. Big ol mamba jamba. Black on black with just a ring of foam on top, tight to the glass. Plums are centraal. There, that’s me getting my language on. Surrounded.on each side is a crap load of dark goodness bolstered by an obscene ration of black patent malt. I like it. I do like it a lot. Bring it on sleet storm....

Bottle from Bursprak - thanks! Pours black with a brown head. Aroma of classic dark roasted malts, coffee, chocolate, cocoa, wood, liquorice and some week smoke. The taste has some hardcore roasted malts, liquorice, bitter coffee, dark chocolate and some wood. pretty awesome!
