Bottle. [thanks skortila/caesar/noize]
Pours clear dark brown, bordering on black with a small, creamy, off-white film head. Aroma has light medicinic notes, soft vanilla, chocolate, light roasted. Mild apple. Medium to low carbonation, fine creamy and lovely dry mouthfeel. Flavour has lots of coffee, chocolate, mild whiskey, oats, sweet. Lots of oaky dryness. Very elegant.

Bottle from Bierkoning. Dark black body with thinnest head. Nose of molasses, caramel, sweets. Taste is stoutlike with lots of malts and molasses. Sweet texture. Quite an enjoyable stout. The Jack Daniels kicks in at the finish. Well done.

33 cl bottle (from De Bierkoning) @ home. Almost black color, hardly any head. Aroma’s: malty sweet, roast, drop/laurel, soy sauce, aniseed (or other winterspices), hints of peat, whiskey, fruit (blackberry). Flavor is medium sweet, bit herbal. Alcohol certainly doesn’t feel like 10%. Medium body. Finishes somewhat ashy and medium bitter.

Countbeer (1943) - Best of Eindhoven ohne Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - MAR 25, 2012
Bottle: Small off white creamy bubbly half open lacing on top of an almost black beer with a brown edge. Smell poo, mint, ash, liquor, liquorice, coal. Taste green grass, old liquorice, mint, light roasted malts, herbs, some hops, mint branches and some light light oak. Grassy roasted hoppy mint ish aftertaste. Low carbo, soft light watery texture, medium to full body and a light creamy ish texture. Looks like this beer fell into a barrel with mint. Damn! Guess I tasted a bad bottled version...

Aroma was roasted malt, chocolate, oak and alcohol. Taste was roasty, some alcohol, bitter chocolate, woody/oak and dry chalky finish/after taste that was not so good. Smooth and light to medium bodied.
