33 cl bottle. BBE 12/2013.
Pours clear copper color with almost no head. Aroma of very sweet malts, caramel, yeast, mild ripe fruits and spices. Flavor of sweet malts, sugar candy, ripe fruits, caramel and toffee. Sadly some alcohol comes through also. A bit unpleasant and overly sweet.

330ml bottle

Pours dark brown with a bubbly white head. Stingy aroma of alcohol, ripe fruits, malts and syrup. Taste is quite sticky and sweet with malty notes, ripe fruits and some syrup. Finish is strong and sticky. Alcohol comes through too much. Unbalanced and too sweet for my taste.

33cl bottle. Pours a chestnut brown color with a thin tannish colored head. Aroma is brown sugar, roastiness, and light alcohol soaked dark fruit. Taste is dark ripe fruitiness with brown sugar sweetness rounded out nicely with drying somewhat earthy finish with the alcohol nicely hidden. Medium body with a good amount of carbonation.

Appearance: Pours out a medium brown body, fairly good clarity, with a few stray suds that vacant quickly.

Smell: Slightly sweet-scented, toasty malts treading towards a faint papery accent with low, vague hints of fruit, spice, and herb.

Taste: Toasty malts, a little graininess, and a touch of dark, raw sugars leaning sweet (just barely). A little herbal twang of gentian. Lightly fruity. Hint of cardboard. Sweetish, toasty finish -- there’s just very little going on here, unfortunately.

Mouthfeel: Medium-plus body. Lowly carbonation.

Overall: Kinda bland, it’s one of those lamentable beers that leave no lasting impression whatsoever, a beer where I’ll come across this rating sometime down the road and go "huh? I had that beer?" So, lemme just give a shout-out to Future ChainGangGuy: Hi, man, from 2012!

11.2. Pours a murky dark brown with a dense creamy tan head. Mild sweet brown bread nose. Creamy medium body with lively carb. Brown bread mid palate. Not much else happening but well presented.

Bottle. Nose is sweet and mostly malty but throws out a big whiff of meaty smoke. Cloudy dark brown with ruby red highglights and a tan head. Muddled caramel malt, very low bitterness with light wood, sweet with a slash of candy but nothing distinctive - this is a good beer seen with falsely-prescribed glasses. Body is a little light, with some murky yeasty undertones, but the alcohol is not too prominent. Berry and sludge.

A dark brown beer with a quite weak and blond head. Aroma is strongly malty, toffee, some red berries and hint of overcooked bananas. Taste is malty, some roastiness, caramell, some fruitness, drying and long herbal bitterness. Full bodied, but not sticky, nice to drink. Basic and good beer, nothing special, but otherwise enjoyable.

330ml bottle. Cloudy dark amber with small off-white head. Sweet, nuttily caramel and dark malt aroma. Sweet taste has brown sugar, caramel, burnt caramel. Fresh citrus note opens the finish.

Bottle. Dark amber, cloudy, small and fully diminishing head. Moderate, malty and sugary sweetish aroma, caramel and dark fruits, some citrus - lemon hoppyness, some alcohol, faint yeast. Body is medium, malty and sugary sweetish flavor, caramel and dark fruits, caramel and some alcohol. Finish is average, malty and sweetish, caramel, some dark fruits, light citrus - lemon hoppyness, alcohol. Interesting Sorachi Ace hoppyness for winter beer. Anyway, too sweet/too much alcohol in the finish.

Bottle from bierzwerg.de web shop. Hazy brown color with minimal white head. Aroma of chocolate, dark fruit, caramel, spices in background. Taste, plums, pear, chocolate, coffee, caramel, light bitterness in background. Fruity finish. Drinkable beer, but little bit sweet to me.
