---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

330 ml. bottle. Cap with a thin layer of yeast build up. Pours a thin, poorly retained, light beige head, over a hazy, particle laden light brown (SRM 20) body.....nose is dried fruits including plum, fig, raisin, light brown sugar, hints of treacle, hints of wintergreen, minimal hops, balance to the malts.....taste is sweet with brown sugar, molasses hints, treacle, plum, raisin, finishing with a mild spice/hop bitterness......mouth feel, light of medium body, alcohol warmth present, carbonation low. This is obviously an older bottle which has been stored on its side in the past. The beer contained therein is a lighter take on an Abt/Quad, with relatively low complexity in both aroma and flavor for the style. It is not a bad beer, in spite of the appearance, it is just a bit too average. BJCP 7/2/13/4/6

Light brown, rich and sweet. Lots of alcohol, brown sugar, licorice, and a good amount of carbonation. Amazingly, I picked this up cheap at Gomer’s Midtown in KC in 2014.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein leicht trübes dunkel bernsteinfarbenes Bier mit geringer Schaumkrone. Geruch hefig, sehr fruchtig malzig, leicht würzig, alkoholisch. Geschmack trocken malzig süß, fruchtig, alkoholisch, hefig.

Pours light brown, hazy. Not much head. The candy sugar is noticeable in the aroma. Very warming, loads of alcohol on the finish. Both bitter and sweet, with some roasted/burnt nutty notes. Full bodied.

Dark opaque chocolate brown; not much head. Aroma of molasses and dark red fruits. Taste is fruitcake leading to burnt malts. Palate perfect for this sort of beer. Very nice!

Bottle from Biernavigatie. Poured a murky dark brown with a bubbly off-white head. The aroma is dry roasted malt, yeast and with the slightest hint of toffee. The flavour is moderate bitter light sweet, with a smooth, rich, ripe fruit, malt, alcoholic bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. The initial taste wasn’t so good, but it grew on me. Not that much though... just a little. There are many greater beers that have come out of Kamperland!

Draft at Khyber Pass. Very cloudy caramel brown pour with some slght tan foam. Raisins and toffee. Vanilla Tootsie Rolls. Honey chews. Cardamom. Watery mocha espresso with an odd chalky dry finish. Unusual, but not worth seeking out.

Bottle. Strong raisin/dried apple and rock candy malt aroma. Hazy brown with minimal head. Sweet raisin and brown sugar malt flavor with moderate alcohol and light bitter herbal finish. Pleasant.
