Bottle 33 cl, BBE 12/2014. Pours hazy brown in color with a minimal head. Malty notes, bready dough and syrup in aroma. Slightly vinous even. Sweetish taste, some malty notes and light boozy rum notes. Aftertaste is similar, too boozy.

Quad bordering on barley wine, and really it's more the latter. Syrupy, strong sugar caramel/toffee notes. Quite boozy, and yet only 9%. B- ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

(Bottle, 0.33 l - BBE wasn’t marked, at Pikkulintu, 20130526) The beer poured deep mahogany coloured and clear. Its head was small and white. Aroma had malts, sweetness and metallicness. Palate was full bodied and warming with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, molasses, sweetness, caramell, hops and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet, malty and bitter. Way oversweet beer. No off-flavours but aging would cut the sweetness.

Bottle:   Deep caramel swamp water like color, moderate sudsy off-white head, sparce lacing.   Faint molasses and dark pitted fruit nose.   Somewhat of a medicinal light cough syrup and dark pitted fruit start.   Feels somewhat thin, flavorful, but lacks body.   Somewhat of a bright hoppy backside, with medicinal like alcohol notes.   Lingering over-ripened raisins.   Nothing special about this Winter Ale.   Seems to lack umph for its ABV.
