3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Dogbrick (6041) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - SEP 21, 2012
Sample at the brewery taproom. The beer is a dark brownish color with a medium light beige head that diminishes slowly. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malt and mild hops. Light-bodied with a roasty character and notes of chocolate malt, caramel and light hops. The finish is short and leaves a light coffee aftertaste. Decent overall.

Pours a dark brown with a thick white head with great lacing. Smells of coffee, roasted malts and caramel. Tastes close to as it smells but richer. Mouthfeel is creamy and chewy with good carbonation. Overall this is an awesome black lager I hope they can it soon.

Draft pours black/brown with a light tan head. Aroma has a lot of roast malt, and for some reason something that reminds me of peanut butter. Taste is more mellow, good roast, light bitter finish. Overall a little thin.

Dark brown in color, clear with a thin head. Nice dark roast malt and light hops in the aroma and flavor. This was a terrific brew. Super roast flavor the malts where thick. Light earth like flavor. Good finish and dry.
