Draught at Galbraithís Alehouse, Auckland. Pours golden with a medium white head. Aroma of sweet malt and floral and herbal notes. The flavour is malt and fruit. Medium bodied and finishes dry and peppery.

Pours a slightly cloudy golden with white head. Citrus and hop aromas, a bit of herb also and a touch of honey. Beautiful flavours. Sweet citrus followed by a honey-like flavour, more likely a sweet fruit such as mango or passionfruit. A nice bitter kick on the finish, to create a delicious and refreshing beer. Quite lovely on a warm summers day.

UPDATED: JAN 14, 2009 On tap at Inch Bar in Dunedin. Pours cloudy golden, white head. Grapefruit dominates on the nose, very citrusy. Flavour is the same citrus, mainly grapefruit. Medium bitterness, nice fruity profile throughout. Finish is bitter and dry.

On tap at Tonic bar in Dunedin. A nice grapefruit citrus nose with herb notes such as coriander. Slightly cloudy, bright yellow hue with a thin white head. Smooth lemon flavours and strong, zesty hops that give it a bitterness. Hints of what I can only describe as sweat and vegetables. A spicy, bitter finish. Crisp and clean on the palate.

Iíve had this one in New Zealand on my honeymoon. Visited the brewery too.
Had this one at the brewery. A bit fruity aroma, nice hoppy flavor with a spicy aftertaste. Worth a try.

On tap @ Inch Bar Dunedin - 6/10. A fresh grainy malt nose. Nice golden colour perhaps presented with a faint chil haze. Nice light richness. Some sweetness in the malt balance - like tinned fruits. Nice light peppery finish. An intreguing delightful offering, definately passes the 6 pint test.

UPDATED: NOV 15, 2007 Tasted 07/11/2007. Two pint rigger, direct from the brewery to my front door. Pours a pale "greenish" gold with a light haze and a white head thatís quite virginal (like the brewer). An excellent mild aroma of citrus zest, spice and a far richer malt character than youíd expect from such a pale beer (hints at biscuit dough and mealiness). Smooth and, like the aroma, is far weightier in the mouth than youíd expect. Itís very rich, without being malty or heavy. Excellent start. Good hop flavour gives an oily feel, coating the mouth in juicy hop notes that invite another sip. Bitterness is quite light but the spice and big hop flavour push the perceived bitterness up higher. The only downside, for me, is a lingering tickle and itch on the palate from the coriander addition. Nothing brash, nothing "wow", but a very nice quaffer. Just right for a summer ale (making it two good summer ales in two days from NZís two most innovative brewers).
