Flagon from Regional wines and spirits. looks good in the glass pours a caramel straw colour with a small head. very pronounced nose, floral hops similar to badger tanglefoot, elderflower.... that continues into the palate, I don’t like tanglefoot and i don’t like this to much either it’s to floral for me but still a well constructed beer

Tasted 15/02/2008. Rigger from the generous BozoNZ. Sappy combination of toasty caramel malt and stateside hops dominate the nose. Floral and pepper notes in behind. Clear copper with a disappearing head. Firm toasty malt character mingles with a somewhat slender sweetness in the mouth. Nice. Big bitterness dominates the second half - some grassiness and a little stonefruit. A surprising flourish of alcohol late on the palate. Light astringency detracts slightly. Lovely beer, with rough edges.

Draught at Galbraiths Alehouse (Auckland), a slight haze to an amber colour with a filmy head. A mellow but juicy aroma. A reasonably dry palate, as you would expect. Flowery flavours and an increasing dryness and hop fruitiness through the swallow.

(On tap) Clear, deep golden with a small, creamy, off-white head. Fresh, lightly peachy aroma. Medium-bodied with lightly sweet caramel and a dry, fresh, hoppy finish. A very quaffable APA. 240108
