We brewed this beer to celebrate our 500th batch of beer in Downers Grove. In keeping with what seems to be a popular theme, it is a single-hop IPA, this time with the Centennial variety. It is deep copper in color, medium bodied, and has lots of the distinctly American citrus hop flavor. Hop aroma is also prevalent from a hefty dry hop addition to the fermenter.

Draft at DG. $6.50 in a small tulip. Quite dark, but with a thin IPA head. Smell of mango and a bit of pine. Strong malty taste, plus up front dry hop character. Strong, but not "hot" alcohol, and had I known this had not been added yet, I’d have gotten that abv measure. Hop bitterness gains strength, especially in the aftertaste. The palate adds some mint and a bit of pineapple going further down. Manages to turn into a quite complex hop monster for a single-hop beer.
