Tap in Palatine. Pours black with a medium, fizzy brown head, medium retention with light lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (roast, nutty, chocolate, coffee), light floral hops, dark fruits (prunes, dates), and notes of smoke. Flavor is heavy malt with some roast bitterness. Medium body, warmth, and carbonation with a dry finish.

It was a porter, just not that robust. All the right stuff is there: dark pour, coffee and roasted chocolate. The aroma and taste were just a little weaker than I expected. The label led me astray.

Tap in Palatine. Looks like a cappuccino in thw glass with lighttbrown foam. Aroma of unsweetened chocolate. The flavor is well balanced with coffee roast a little creaminess anx some bittering hops pulling it all together. Moderate palate.
