COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Light copper in color, fresh, spicy citrus aroma. Malt is there as well, along with the typical ale fruity esters. The first taste reveals a pronounced bitterness without being harsh or biting. Malt flavor shows itself briefly, but gives way to a wonderfully fresh hop flavor followed by a pleasant, mild bitterness.

Victory Pale Ale is all about the hops. It is full of big hop flavor, aroma and bitterness, which are all supported by substantial malt character. The Victory finishes with a fresh-picked hop character on the palate that will leave your mouth watering. 5.6% ABV

Bottle. Poured hazy dark copper color with an average frothy white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate to heavy hop bitter aroma. Medium body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Moderate bittersweet flavor with a smooth bittersweet finish of average duration. Solid drinkable brew.

12 oz. bottle pours a hazy orange/amber color with decent white head and lacing. Aroma has lots of orange and tropical fruits, pine resin, and caramel with a bit of grass and bread. Body is medium with average carbonation and an oily mouthfeel. A solid, easily drinkable pale ale which I’ll gladly try again.

Pours a nice copper with a foamy head. Aroma of tropical fruit/ floral hops, clean sweet crystal malt. Mouthfeel is smooth, average carbonation. Hops are dominated by pineapple and papaya flavors, a good burst of bitterness followed by slightly sweet caramel malt. More tropical fruit and a lingering bitterness on the finish. Great effort from a small brewery.

This was a pretty impressive pale ale, really, almost an IPA for the amount of bitterness and piney aroma. Very spicy, very resiny. A delicious beer, but maybe not one you’d want if you’re really in the mood for a session pale.

Had on tap at the Village Tap for their Local Tap Takeover. Served in a pint glass. A: Pours a typical copper with some lighter hues throughout with a white head that subsides into a nice film ring. S: I get some wonderful citrus hops with some slight grassy undertones. Toffee-like malts as well. T: The taste follows the nose to a tee. Nice citrus peel hops and the cracker malt gets bigger on the back and fades to light bitterness that ties it all together. M: Light bodied with a crisp mouthfeel that leads to a dry finish. Nice little citrus lemon peel left on the palate. O: A very solid pale ale overall and I was pleasantly surprised. Easily drinkable and I would definitely get this guy again if I wanted a nice local session beer. Serving type: on-tap Reviewed on: 09-02-2011

Great brew! It holds up against the best IPA’s on the market! It’s not #1 but it is damn good!

On tap at Kasey’s Tavern in Chicago. A delicious, drinkable, dry-hopped pale ale. Nice citrus and great profile for the style. I would love to taste an IPA version of this.

Cloudy orange pour with an off white, fluffy head. Long lasting head retention. Aroma is strong citrus fruit - orange, lemon, grapefruit; also slightly herbal; not much malt on the aroma, expecting a hop forward brew based on the aroma. Bittersweet on the palate up front and slowly fades to a slightly oily bittersweet finish. Medium low carbonation, low alcohol warmth, medium full body. Nicely dry hopped which gives the impression of a super hoppy beer based on the aroma - taste is very in balance. Good one.

Aroma is citrus, malts and spices/vegetables. The flavor is citrus, bread, malts, and spices/vegetables in the finish.
