3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 badgerben (4253) - Blaine, Minnesota, USA - OCT 20, 2005
Amber color with no head. Solid aroma of bitter hops. Citrus (grapefruit) dominates the taste with a big hit of raw hop power. Good malt base to balance out the bitterness. Very full body. One of the best pale ales I’ve had in a brew pub in a long time.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 SubstanceT (1092) - Saint Louis, Missouri, USA - AUG 8, 2005
Good beer, very easily drinkable. Hops in the nose, flowery but light. The taste is just about the same but stronger and longer lasting. Id say comparitvly this is better than, lets say, snpa. Pretty good overall.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Zeswaft (1268) - Seattle, Washington, USA - JUL 4, 2005
UPDATED: JUN 12, 2007 Kind of similar to the amber ale but a little more bite from the hops. Nice floral notes and a smooth taste. I always am surprised how good this is.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 frankenkitty (1958) - Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA - JUN 9, 2005
ABV 5.6%
Served colder than I would have enjoyed, this amber-bodied beer started with an average-sized, off-white head and gave off weak yet captivating citrus-hop aromas. Lightly bitter flavor, through and through, resting on a light malt backbone. Medium-bodied with a dry finish.

Phenomenal Pale ale in my opinion. Super smooth, thought it was from a cask, but apparently it was not. Quite sweet with a wonderful combo of malt and hops, just about perfect if i may say so.
3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 StewardofGondor (1934) - Washington Heights - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - FEB 28, 2005
Palatine location. Sweet, spicy smell. Tiny spotted head. Amber-bronze in color. Fruity crispness. Malt is more prevalent than the hops. Malt gives it a maibock like quality. More flavorful and fuller than Emmetts other brews.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 JPDIPSO (4956) - Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA - FEB 2, 2005
From growler. Dark amber color with a smaller off white head. Aromas of fresh hops with a light backdrop of caramel and light toffee. Sweet malt start with a touch of light fruit. Citrus slips in and helps whisk away some of the sweetness. Very much an APA rather than an IPA as many would call this.
3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Cornfield (5276) - Oak Forest, Illinois, USA - DEC 6, 2004
UPDATED: JUL 5, 2005 Pouring a hazy, light copper color with a frizzy white head, this APA had a light, earthy hop aroma coupled with a whiff of malts. The two balanced nicely in the drink, ending with a crisp, slightly bitter finish. Not bad.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 SkyinBrian (430) - Saint Louis, Missouri, USA - DEC 5, 2004
this was a surprisingly agressive american pale ale. well balanced with plenty of hops. this was excellent. the only bad part was that it was part of a sampler and not a full pint.

Cloudy amber in color. Head is thick, white, and leaves behind excellent lacing. Flowery hop aroma (Cascade). Quite high hop bitterness is surprising. Finishes very clean. Thick and buttery mouthfeel. Quite delicious.
