COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Light copper in color, fresh, spicy citrus aroma. Malt is there as well, along with the typical ale fruity esters. The first taste reveals a pronounced bitterness without being harsh or biting. Malt flavor shows itself briefly, but gives way to a wonderfully fresh hop flavor followed by a pleasant, mild bitterness.

Victory Pale Ale is all about the hops. It is full of big hop flavor, aroma and bitterness, which are all supported by substantial malt character. The Victory finishes with a fresh-picked hop character on the palate that will leave your mouth watering. 5.6% ABV

Bottle. Poured hazy dark copper color with an average frothy white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate to heavy hop bitter aroma. Medium body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Moderate bittersweet flavor with a smooth bittersweet finish of average duration. Solid drinkable brew.

Tap in Palatine. Pours clear amber with a medium, fizzy white head, medium retention with good to excellent lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (caramel, toast, cookie), heavy hops (floral, pine, citrus), and average esters (apple/pear) with notes of apricot. Flavor is initially malt, then hop dominant and fruity notes. Medium body and carbonation, low warmth, and a dry finish.

On tap at Emmett’s - West Dundee. Poured a clear lighter coppery-amber with a short off-white head. The nose found a delectable blend of juicy pear and grapefruit hoppage with a sweet toffee and caramel base.. just a wonderful aroma! The flavor department found sweet lightly-toasted caramel with boatloads of tasty hoppage around (pear, grapefruit, and faint pineapple representin’).. very well-balanced with a long, sweet pine finish. Medium-bodied with great balance.. moderate-high bitterness.. Excellent all around!

Sample at the Palatine brewpub. This beer is a clear copper-orange color with a medium off-white head that recedes steadily. Stringy lacing on the glass. Hoppy nose with touches of malt. Medium body with a moderately hoppy flavor with notes of toffee and malt underneath. The finish is evenly hoppy and malty with a slightly bitter aftertaste. Decent overall.

UPDATED: JUL 5, 2005 Pouring a hazy, light copper color with a frizzy white head, this APA had a light, earthy hop aroma coupled with a whiff of malts. The two balanced nicely in the drink, ending with a crisp, slightly bitter finish. Not bad.

bottle, enjoyed on the 95th floor of the John Hancock building in Chicago. Bright orange copper, like a shiny new penny. Big bold grapefruit and sweet resin aroma and flavour, hoppy hoppy hoppy! I would have sworn this is an IPA. Fantastic!

From growler. Dark amber color with a smaller off white head. Aromas of fresh hops with a light backdrop of caramel and light toffee. Sweet malt start with a touch of light fruit. Citrus slips in and helps whisk away some of the sweetness. Very much an APA rather than an IPA as many would call this.

6-4-6-3-12 Nitro This draft brew from a cask on nitro from the brew pub poured a small sized head of foamy finely sized tan colored bubbles that were long lasting and left behind a transparent uncarbonated golden brown colored body and a very good lacing. The smooth aroma was floral and malty. The mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start and at the finish. The mild flavor contained notes of malt hops and floral. CO2 was much better 6-4-7-4-15 as rated. On CO2, it was much more crisp and hoppy with a stronger bitterness and tingle to the mouth feel . It was not nearly as flat as on nitro.

Bottle says brewed in Palatine. It is a nicely bitter easy-drinking apa, a rarity.
