Tap @ Empire Brewpub w Ronnee of Feb 3. Pours black w brown head. Frothy/creamy. Nose of coffee and nuts. Palate is heavy w chocolate and coffee (though not incredibly roasty). Underlying sweetness to it, though I don’t know if it’s any fruit in particular or just heavy sugar/yeast. Heavy mouthfeel. Kind of a typical stout in a lot of ways, but it’s still good.

Last beer I drank from sampler. Pours deep brown and tastes of bitter dark chocolate, roasted malts, and some smoke. very pleasant end to my meal.

On Tap at the Brew Pub. This was a nice dark, thick pour with a small tan head. Good lacing. Aromas of roasted coffee and chocolate. Flavor was much the same and was nice and creamy. Good stuff.

On tap at the brewpub. Dark brown with creamy brown head. Aroma of roasted malts and coffee. Dry and malty on the palate with some smoke, light bitterness on the finish. A solid dry stout.

This is my favorite beer at Empire Brewing Company. Tan frothy head. I couldn’t smell much but maybe I had a cold. it’s an opaque black pour. Its creamy and thicker. Smokey flavor thats alittle overpowering with a hint of chocolate, possibly coffee. Very smooth brew.

Part of a sampler at brewpub. I found all the brews to be better than average though I don’t remember specifics for most of them. It is worth mentioning that the sampler here is very generous with glasses that are big enough to really give you enough to form an opinion. I found this stout to be one of the best out of the samples.

Draft (nitro). Pours near black with a beige head. Light dry roasty aroma with a light chocolate sweetness. The flavor has roasted malts, toasted grains, some light smoky notes, and a light sweetness. Pretty good.

Nitro at Empire. Pours a nice black body with a decent nitro head.- good lace. Aroma is good fresh roasted barely light bittersweet chocolate- floral and lightly minty green hops, toast and light burnt notes- good. Flavor is nice fresh chocolate with hints of coffee, light roasty bitterness and pretty smooth overall. Nice dry stout.

On tap at pony bar. Rich creamy and espresso nose. Pour is deep brown/black with froathy beige head, great lacing. Espresso and cocoa deliciousness. My second brew from these guys... Very impressed.
