good to know they are brewing here again. This beer has a rich character that has very complex tones in the aftertaste

Draught 2002: A good dry stout, similar to Guinness. Very smooth from the nitro, flavors of chocolate, nut, bitter coffee, that blend nicely without overpowering. Quite enjoyable fresh on tap, but nothing absolutely amazing for this style.

Sampled at the Rochester location. Black w/ ruby hue. Thick, creamy head. Roasty, chocolaty nose. Soft, silky feel. Rich, nutty, chocolaty flavour w/ some roastiness & burnt coffee.

Nov 2000/Nice and smooth, coffee like bitterness? comparable to Guinness in my opinion, though not quite as smooth on the tongue.

UPDATED: FEB 22, 2003 Huge creamy nitro'd head..pitch black in color..
Roasted coffee..low carbination..
Big coffee in the flavor with a tad of chocolate and some bitter goodness...dry ending..THis seems like more of a dry stout

Dark brown, brown, nitro-looking head. Slightly roasty, touches of smoke in the nose. Roasty, thin and dry, very similar to Guinness, which is what I think they were aiming for.

Nice fresh aroma, thick looking almost black in look. Neat creamy head. Roasted coffee. Some extreme flavours are included in this one (can’t described them yet). Big one.

UPDATED: MAR 18, 2004 This is a wonderful dry stout. Reminds me of a blacker murpheys as there is plenty of root/plant taste. Finishes a tad watery, but hey, so does guinness.
