Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a thin tan head. The aroma has notes of alcohol, over ripe fruits, prunes, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel, malt, over ripe fruits, citrusy hops, and a bit of spices, leading to a dry finish. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of madmitch76. Pours an almost clear deep amber with a small, rough off-white head. Very typical messy Old Ale aroma, tart wood and all sorts of phenols. Medium body, low in carbonation, tart fruit and wood, overripe fruit also. Dry and somewhat tart finish with no real hoppiness. But not too bad really. 010510

A Mes rate. Bottle at Chris O’s Night of the Gaylords.
Amber colour with a thin off white head. Sweet and fruity, big pineapple, lots of kiddies confectionery and amazingly floral. Completely off its rocker.

Bottle at the Chriso Gaylord tasting 09. Amber colour, bit of white head. Floral/flowery aroma. Very floral in mouth. Weird, but ok.

Bottle from Pig’s Ear 09. Smells of molasses and vinegar. Thsi si probably deliberately aged, I don’t now if it’s been barrel aged or they’ve just exposed to ear to get the aged feeling. The palate is dominted by a sourness that is quite pleasant - it does not get too vinegar-like. But I’d prefer a bit mor body in the beer itself to balance it, there is some maltiness, but not any other nuances to cope with the sourness. I hahve a suspicion this is what a stock ale would typically be a hundred years ago..
