A hazy golden IPA with a thin creamy lacing white head. A pleasant floral hops aroma, In mouth, a good balanced IPA, with good grapefruits and bitter hops. Medium bodied. On tap at brewpub, May 29 2008.

The buzz of the re-opening of this place was biased toward this amarillo hop beer. It was decent, one of the better ones I tried. It is grapefruit and bitter. Lots of lace. Grapefruit aroma as well. An average IPA. Something in the balance and perhaps the carbonation that could be tilted.

Tap at Governors Island Brewfest. A rather English style IPA. Poured a mostly clear copper-amber with a medium, white head. Nose of earthy and piney hops. Some light caramel sweetness in the flavor, but mostly strong bitterness. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Could use a bit more sweetness to balance out the hop bite, I would say, but the hops still satisfy.

Growler from Whole Foods Bowery in NYC. Orange amber, clear with rocky foam. Sticky protein lace. Nose is floral, citrusy, easy Centennial or other 3C style American hops. Taste is nutty, citrusy, moderately sticky with full bitterness. Fairly aggressive but a typical, fresher, well done American IPA. No off character.

Tap at Empire. Pours a hazy light copper with a thin white head- some lace. Aroma is sharp zesty piny hops, light mint, grass, some citrus and light tropical notes- light toasty malts, Flavor is grassy a slight bit harsh on the bittering acids, green piney resinous, tacky, some citrus and mango. Seemed pretty raw especially in the finish but still it was quite enjoyable.

[1598-20080816] Growler. Floral hops aroma has a bit of juniper and sweetness. Hazy, light orange body has no lasting head. Juniper berry floral sweet hops flavour. Medium body seems a little flat. Interesting to try.

En fût. Verre de dégustation directement à la brasserie. Arôme: Légère odeur d’agrumes avec une pointe de pins. Apparence: La couleur est blonde avec une très faible densité de bulle. Présence d’un moyen col mousseux et d’une fine dentelle sur le verre. Saveur: Léger goût de pamplemousse et de pins. Durée moyenne de l’arrière goût. Palette: Le corps est moyen avec une texture légèrement huileuse. Moyenne effervescence en bouche. Arrière goût légèrement houblonné. (Rating #3091)

Draft. Pours gold with a thin white head. Earthy and spicy hop aroma with pale malty notes. The flavor is relatively well balanced, with pale malts, and spicy, earthy, and floral hops. Not bad.

tap @ Ellicottvile Beer Fest. Not a very good IPA. Just didnt seem balanced to me. Hop flavor was there, aroma seemed a little off. Would try again but hopefully I just had a bad batch
