Tap at the brewery itself in Syracuse. Commomshawn, rosskyle, and samadouche present. Pint glass. Well laced effort with quarter finger head on a golden copper ale. Nose has malty and rye characteristics. Maybe a little hoppy pine. Taste has a decent amount of bitterness working with rye and cereal notes. Feels like there are some peppery qualities in there too. Bitterness engulfs the finish. Basically an average rye with a clever name.

Highlight of the night. Pours dark gold with brown highlights and a small white top. Aroma is rye spice, floral hops and bready sweetness from the malt. Taste is a great balance of hop bitterness, malt sweetness and then the rye spice rounds it out.

blipp (8030) - La Mesa, California, USA - JUL 7, 2013
Draft. Pours golden orange with an off white head. Rye malty base, some floral hoppiness, relatively low sweetness, and light citric notes. Spot on rye profile; big enough to be the focus of the beer without being too big as to be off-putting. Good stuff.
