This poured a murky light brown to red color with a beige head. Aroma was sweeter caramel malt, alcohol and some graininess. Flavor was much the same, overly sweet, lots of alcohol, and some stale cardboard.

On tap at the Brewpub when I was there back in March 2011. I found my old notes. Waiting for someone to add this. Pours translucent amber with a thin white head. Aroma is wheat with lots of citrus. Taste is wheat and citrus along with some piny hops. The ABV is felt. The finish is dry with a hoppy bitterness.

Tap sample from Whole Foods Bowery in NYC. Clear golden pour with a small, white head. Plastic and green olive brine nose. Taste is astringent, medicinal, mild fusel and higher alcohols with turpentine and floor cleaner. Mostly Undrinkable. Stressed yeast perhaps.

Draft. Pours amber orange with an off white head. Wheaty and sweet aroma with floral hops. The flavor has a wheaty base, toast, some sweetness, and a floral hoppy finish. Not bad.

Yes to bottling this one in the future. 55% wheat. Rich taste, though sweet nowhere sweet as in the vast number of sweetish beers around, balanced with an enlish style bitterness. Soft mouthfeel, very drinkable. Apple juice coloured body and very lacey.

On tap at the brewpub, served in a wine glass. Pours clear orange/copper with a thin white head. Aroma is very fruity with lots of citrus, orange peel, and a noticeable wheat component. Taste is more orange along with some piny hops. Just a hint of alcoholic warmth. Finish is dry with a light hoppy bitterness. A very interesting and enjoyable brew from Empire.
