COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
White Aphro is a Belgianized version of our popular Aphrodisiac Ale. The honey, ginger, and lavender are still added as a spice addition. It is fermented with a traditional Belgian yeast strain, and wheat malt was added, giving it a Belgian white characteristic. 5.6% ABV

On tap at Peekskill. Pours a clear gold with a thin white head. Lavender and a bit of citrus zest. Medium, big lavender, wheat. Sift wheat with lingering lavender and touches of sweet honey and musky yeast.

The Sampler, tap: Pours hazy golden with a white head. Aroma is a whole spicerack: ginger, nutmeg, all spice. I also smelled plenty of bubblegum. Taste is pretty much the same. There is a light sweetness, but with a whole hell of a lot of spice. Not bad. My girlfriend was, however, not pleased.

6 oz. taster @ EBC. Color is a lightly hazy gold, white head. Aroma of ginger and spice. Flavor is light with the lavender giving a real herbal punch at the backside of this sip. The main backbone is zesty wheat. Light body with a slightly watery texture.

Medium golden amber color, slight haze, modest head. Spicey nose. though you would expect spiciness with a wit, this one as a bit on a medicinal phenolic spiciness which i don’t appreciate. Solid malty body, but the finish is thin.

Generic wit. Straw colored pour with thin eggy head. Nose is corriander with maybe a hint of ginger. Watery body. Faintly sweet Way too vegetal, herb balance is all off. Even with a lemon a disappointment

hazy orange pour; the ginger over takes the aroma. Upon tasting the ginger is not so overpowering. Feels like an Asian influenced hefenweisen. The citrus flavor is an unexpected nice pairing against the ginger. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft at Pony with Brendan a week or so back. Pours a hazed yellow body with nice white head and lacing. Aroma is wheat, yeast and zest. Mouthfeel is medium to light with lots of carbonation and notes of zesty wheat, light citrus, and some spice.

Location: Draft at Mission Dolores, 9/8/12

Aroma: The nose is mostly spice and wheat
Appearance: It pours cloudy golden color with a white head
Flavor: The flavor is much the same, spice, wheat, and vegetation
Palate: The body is medium, it has a tingly feel, and a somewhat decent finish
Overall Impression: This is a pretty nice Belgian White with spice and vegetables. I like it more then I expected. It was certainly worth a try.
