UPDATED: MAR 23, 2009 I am giving the annoyingly high rating of a 4.7 simply because I’m so pissed at what I see as a bias against non-alcoholic brews, which I need to work to offset. That said, I think it’s hard to deny that this is an OUTSTANDING non-alcoholic brew. It doesn’t taste exactly like a hefeweizen...more like a beer with hints of the hefeweizen aromas--but this is top-notch as non-alcoholic brews go, so I do think it deserves the 5. I have no complaints. It has a full body, rich and complex aroma, with some hefeweizen characteristics like the fruity tones. There is none of the unpleasant sourness that plagues some poorly-executed Hefeweizens. And the beer has a crisp texture...very refreshing while also being very flavorful. A winner on all counts!

Hazy yellow colour with nice head. Aroma is little wheat. Flavour is wheat, watery. Still ok for NA.

Bottle at Continente supermarket in Lisbon, Portugal. Golden hazy color. Thin to medium head. Nice dryness and some bitterness. Cereal aroma not corny.

Bottle: Hazy yellow colour, with à creamy head. Aroma is dominated of sweet maltynes and hay, gras, some fruitynes in The end. Flavor is sweet maltynes , Thin bitter finish.

Ein Weißbier sollte meiner Meinung nach süffiger und fruchtiger sein. Es schmeckt getreidig und hefig. Dieses Alkoholfreie Weißbier hat einen eigenen Charakter denn es schmeckt meine Meinung nach nicht wie ein gewöhnliches Weißbier auch die anderen alkoholfreien Weißbiere die ich bisher getrunken habe, haben, anders geschmeckt. Fazit: Mittelmäßig, man kann es gut trinken, aber mir gefällt es auch nicht so gut das ich es als lecker bezeichnen würde. Der Preis ist natürlich ziemlich hoch. Pours the same as the real thing. Almost hazy light straw. Big off-white head that sticks around and leaves lacing behind. Smell is an almost malt aroma with some hints of a banana-like presence. It tastes the same. It is really weird in that it seems like the alcohol version but is way different at the same time. Not a go to beer. The taste is just too weird. Plus it fills you up a bit more than the real thing.

Golden look with lots of carbonation. Tastes like toasted wheat flavour. It’s tasty but dont really tastes like a beer. There is too much bread flavour.

Pours pale yellow cloudy with white creamy thin head. Aromas are wort, grains, malts, dough. Palate is medium bodied, oily, slick. Carbonation is flat, mouthful, soft. Taste is sweet wheat, cookies and dough, little fruity with light watery flavour. Finish is still sweet little crispy and mild with hints of citrusy tartness. Not bad for a non-alcoholic.

500ml bottle. Cloudy golden colour with nice firm frothy white head. Slightly muggy grainy aroma, a sourish wheat note. Taste is watery, unspecific sourish, slightly soapy hoppy. Don’t drink and drive? - yes, DON’T drink and drive.

This is a non-alcoholic beer!! What do you want?? Obviously it won’t be as good as a normal weizen but come on!! It’s pretty tasty and nice for a 0.5% abv!! Medium body, quite sweet, not a bad head, perhaps too little carbonation for me. Overall I say it’s a very enjoyable alcohol free drink. And it definitely has a strong wheat flavour!

bottle golden and hazy colour with good white head . some gras and yeast in the aroma but lacks the depth of the full weissbeer version . Taste is blander than the full version as well - some grain and yeast , neither sweet nor bitter . medium carbonation watery . It’s better than a commercial lager but if I am off alcohol then a coke is better .
