COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An ale fashioned to survive the long voyage from England to India during the British colonization. Hops, hops, and more hops, this ale has an intense aroma and a long lingering finish. Drink as an appetizer on its own, or pair it with any hearty dish. A beer for the connoisseur, this is the Brewmaster’s choice. "Cheers!"

Just attacks the nose with citrussy and floral hop aromas. Decent compact head on top of a lovely deep amber ale. And man, this tastes great. A perfect balance between bitterness and refreshment, with citrus and bitter dancing off to a wonderful tie. A crisp, clean finish with a lingering bitterness that is not overwhelming... merely enticing you to open another. Awesome.

Pours a hazy golden copper with amber hi lights and a wheat coloured head that disperses fairly quickly. Moderately carbonated, the aroma is earthy and malty with sweetly spiced hops and a hint of citrus and honey (?) or beeswax (?). The taste is spicy and piney with a nice balance between the malts and the hops. It has a silky mouthfeel with a nice clean crisp lingering finish. I like this one a lot!

355 mL can. Pours orange copper with a thin white head that dissipates quickly. Nose is big American hop, tangerine, grapefruit, pine, beeswax and a touch of caramel malt sweetness. Moderately sweet with a medium mouth feel and moderate carbonation, the finish is long and bitter, but well balanced, more hop aroma than astringency. Sticky on the palate. A lovely well balanced IPA.

This is an excellent, easily on of the best I’ve had in awhile. Aggressively hopped, lots of grapefruit and grass, but very well balanced. A perfect combination of bitter and sweet. I’d love to be able to try this again. Bought in Toronto in spring, 2013.

Pours with a thin finger cap that flattens quicker than a Vancouver suburb in an earthquake. Great can. Great beer. Wish I could try more of their stuff but I’m a few provinces separated. I could dump a dozen of these on ice & drink ’em all night. I believe some of you call that sessionable.

355 mL Can. Gold - amber fizzy body with a thick and tenacious frothy head leaving foamy ribs as the beer is sipped. Grapefruit rind, lemon, clover, and intense resiny hops titillate the nose -I’m maxed out here. Sweet malts, quickly get taken over by intense resiny "grapefruit rind" hops tapering to a long bitter hop finish that seems to have a wee hint of clover. This is another example of a beer style I sometimes like better than a lot of Belgians. Gotta love those grapefruits ;)

March 30, 2013; 6.5% abv, 355 mL can, BBD: 05/12/2013, shaker Hops dominate with sweet floral and fruity flavours: grapefruit and lychee. Pours amber with a slight pinkish tone. Head is big and frothy, off-white, well retained. Hop flavours as expected, but leaning more towards the herbal/resin side of things. Malts are well balanced, toasty and sweet. Finish is resinous and refreshing. Light carbonation, medium to light body; overall refreshing. Serious alpha hops, overall quite refreshing.

Dark amber red thickish white head. A light hoppy aroma, grassy with a background of citrus fruits. A dry mouthfeel. A strong citrusy hop flavour, elements of lemon, grapefruit and a touch of lime. There is then matched with a slightly sweeter malt flavour that rounds off the whole flavour. The citrusy flavours last well into the finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Deep amber, big off-white head. Aroma is sweet with citrus notes but not overpowering. Flavor is on the dry side with some citrus hops. Pretty average IPA (sorry Brad), but easy drinking.
