An ale fashioned to survive the long voyage from England to India during the British colonization. Hops, hops, and more hops, this ale has an intense aroma and a long lingering finish. Drink as an appetizer on its own, or pair it with any hearty dish. A beer for the connoisseur, this is the Brewmaster’s choice. "Cheers!"

Just attacks the nose with citrussy and floral hop aromas. Decent compact head on top of a lovely deep amber ale. And man, this tastes great. A perfect balance between bitterness and refreshment, with citrus and bitter dancing off to a wonderful tie. A crisp, clean finish with a lingering bitterness that is not overwhelming... merely enticing you to open another. Awesome.

473 ml can from the LCBO. Canned on March 21. Produced a small off-white head after gently pouring it into an IPA glass so I could fit it all in. Lovely copper colour, The aroma is mouth watering. Juicy hops with some pine resin. Taste has citrus in it, pine resin, lovely bitter finish. Carmel malt is well balanced. One of the best IPAs I’ve had. Stocked up at $2.50 a can!

Amber- copper in the glass. Great, white head with nice lacing. Citrus on the nose. West Coast dose of hops gives a sharp bite with a hint of soap. Well balanced. Taste lingers on the tongue. A great example of the style.

The hops started as overpowering, from the moment the can was cracked open. I found by about a third the way through the harshness had mellowed out and became enjoyable. Light toasted malt notes with the scent of fresh straw, a strong grapefruit and a light clove aroma. Huge, creamy white head. Excellent lacing throughout. Medium amber in colour. Lightly sweet initial flavour with moderate initial bitterness. A heavily bitter finish. A slightly watery texture. Very fizzy carbonation. Overall enjoyable.

650 ml bottle from "Roth’s Sunnyslope Market" in S.Salem. $4.99 as Red Betty IPA. Pours a darker orange than is usual for style with a large thick and frothy off white head. Very strong resiny/citric hop aromas..getting some juicy fruitiness..papaya? mango? nice stuff. Flavour also has deep hoppiness..a bit more "dank" and PNW than the nose and also PNW style with strong caramel malts. Good thick/medium palate low to medium carbonation and pleasing long lasting bitter after taste. Overall a very nice PNW IPA.

Bottle shared by b3shine. Poured a clear copper color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with good to excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy sour citrus and earthy aroma. Medium to abundant body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy bittersweet flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. My expectations where surpassed.

Taste from a bottle shared at Tmoney99’s 10K tasting. Mostly clear orange color. Thin off-white head. Leaves pretty nice lace. Super smooth, lighter carbonation. Kind of crisp. Lightly slick. Good resiny, kind of citrusy hop aroma. Light pine. Lighter caramel malt. Moderate sweet taste, light to moderate bitter. Enjoyed this IPA much more than I expected to.

Bomber to taster (shared with the group; thanks DuffMan). Looks good; a transparent orange with foamy eggshell head that steadily dissipates into lacing. Smells solid; bitter hops with a medium-bodied pale malt backbone. Tastes like it smells with an average mouthfeel. A solid example of the style.
