Commercial Description:
When empirical and creative impulses collide, the result is often timeless. The classic utility-art aesthetic of the coffee maker is an example of design and engineering working in concert. It is through similar cooperation that the simple bitter cocoa bean is transformed into a sweet treat. As scientists, our brewers utilize their materials to exacting standards. As artists, they couldn’t resist the temptation to combine the best flavors of two of our highly acclaimed Blackwater Series Imperial Stouts, Jahva and Choklat. Alone each is perfect, but together as Mokah, they are an inimitable expression of two of the world’s most sought after flavors. Enjoy Mokah stout with - or as - your favorite dessert! Cheers!

22 ounce bottle in snifter. Dark dark brown with lasting tan ring. Chocolate syrup bitter coffee mild alcohol aroma. Bitter chocolate dark roasted coffee some syrupy dark fruit medium bitter roasted lingering finish with mild alcohol burn. Medium full body. Decent enough. There are so many strong stouts out there, and so many are better than this, and then all the excessive flavor additions.... Makes me want a Sierra Nevada Stout...or two.

Black colored brew. Lovely aroma of Belgian chocolate bonbons or those mocca pieces on cakes. Flavor is a bit roasted coffee mixed perfectly with belgian chocolate. A bit thin. Very well balanced. Nice brew!

Bottle 65cl. @ DØE Tasting, Fox & Hounds, Holstebro.
Clear dark dark red brown color with a average, creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is light heavy malty, chocolate, coffee, dusty, vanilla, cognac. Flavor is moderate heavy and moderate to heavy bitter with a long long long duration, (chocolade skumbananer). Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20090929]

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a large dirty brown foamy head with good retention and some great lacing. Aroma of nice black chocolate malt with nice creamy espresso notes. Taste is a nice mix between some very well balanced black chocolate and some creamy espresso with a nice dose of lactic sugar. Body is full with nice carbonation and a great creamy texture. Very well done with all the ingredient well balanced out and doesn’t taste too artificial.

Very dark with a tan head. Sweet chocolate aroma with malts and molasses. Flavor was over the top sweet chocolate. Too much for me- way too much. Some molasses and light roasted notes, but the sugary, chocolate sweetness kills it. I found it hard to drink this sticky, syrupy brew. I wouldn’t say it’s a bad beer, it’s just not something I enjoy.

Pours dark brown with a decent foamy tan head and a fragrant chocolate aroma. Yes, it tastes like a liquid chocolate bar with heavy carbonation and a lot of alcohol. It’s seriously delicious, but if you’re not a chocolate lover, you will probably not like this one very much. I like it.

Bomber. Pours headless, laceless opaque black. Full sweet body and mild carbonation. Sweet chocolate aroma. Sweet, and I do mean sweet taste of chocolate with with a dash of coffee. Basically a liquid chocolate bar. Interesting but unbalanced. Anyone who says this beer is ’almost’ cloying is being charitable.
