Certainly the best beer in the Petrus collection. A lot of taste, heavy sourness and a little sweetness. Hazy amber colour.
4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Shag (2283) - Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA - MAY 23, 2012
A golden color with a white head. Aroma contains some yeasty funkiness, vinegar, lemons, and a bit of barn. The flavor is extremely sour with some yeast, vinegar, citrus, a bit of a metallic note but not too much. Sour out da arse and full of vinegar in the finish. Overall awesome for sour heads.

This beer gave me a new appreciation to sours! It pours like a very light lager, very little head, with overwhelming citrus and tart cherry aromas. The taste reminds me more like a New Zealand Sauv. Blanc. Great flavors of tart cherries, green apple, and lemon. A perfect tartness, and very wet and refreshing on the finish. A wonderful beer, but is more like a wine.

Pours a vibrant, clear pale gold with a soft white head that fades quickly. Aroma of oak, light vinegar, citrus, faint pale malt sweetness, and some yeast funk. Flavor is nicely sour, oaky, citrus, dough, and vinegar with a decent rounded out body to it that finishes dry. Getting a touches of alcohol through the finish.

12 oz. from Chuck’s. This is by far the most sour beer that I have ever tasted. Looks like the urine from a terribly dehydrated person (how fitting) but tastes like a flavor explosion. Pucker up!

33cl. bottle from Bitter Virtue, Southampton. I’m sorry I can’t see what all the fuss is about. Looks very nice, but this is not to my taste. Too sour and a tannin kick.
