COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Seven is our most aromatic beer. The brewery’s saison yeast is fully expressed in the aroma with lots of fruitiness while the hops provide light spice notes. The beer has some heft mid-palette but finishes dry with a lightly lingering bitterness. Seven is satisfying on its own but pairs great with a variety of typically fragrant cuisines such as Thai or Indian.
Malts: organic pale, pilsener, organic munich
Hops: magnum, mt.rainier, hallertauer mittelfrüh, liberty

On Draft at P town brewpub 2009. Aroma: Very aromatic. Lemon, orange rind and floral hops Flavor: Long citrus and lemon finish that has no harsh bitterness. Comments: This was the best of the batch with definite complexity in aroma and flavor. Outstanding on draft. I found it very good from the bottle (about 38-9 points), though not this good.

750mL opens with a pours a cloudy yellow/golden with a huge foamy white head. Aroma of yeast spice, fruits, citrus, lemon zest, and cotton candy. Taste hits sweet and stops short into a dry bitterness. Just when I think the Yeast is going to be overbearing the hops kick in and the bitterness rides to a dry finish. Nice!

poured from 750 into a tulip. Pours a medium gold color with a very good head. Very good aromas of spices, florals, citrus tones and some navel oranges. Good depth as well. Medium/full bodied with a deliciously smooth feel. Balanced with very good flavors of spices, florals and navel oranges. This was a real quality saison. On the more citrusy side as opposed to the funkier side.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy orange with a white head that lasts throughout the beer. Aroma has a good of flora and citrus hops with a bit of a musty yeast and light grain. Flavor has a good amount of grassy hops with sweet grains, light fruits/citrus and a yeasty note.

750 ml bottle from whole foods. Pours a murky copper color with a big fluffy white head that has crazy lacing and great retention. The aroma is that of a classic saison with yeast, apples, pears, and peppery spices. The taste is similar to the nose with ample fruitiness, some bitter almonds, apples, pears, pepper and hay. The palate is full and smooth with lively carbonation. Finishes long and dry. Overall: A fine saison, very tasty.

Bottle; Pour is murky gold with a whispy white head in this glass; cobweb style lacing is present; This one has some grains, tropical fruits, and mild spices on the nose. The flavor profile is more tropical fruits, caramel sweetness, light bitterness; florals, grains, light spice, fruit esters, grassy hops... This is a pretty nice one overall; but its lacking the belgian notes that I’m looking for.

Delicious and interesting beer. Sweet fruit notes reminiscent of pears, grapes, limes and tangerines, and they blend wonderfully with the malt notes of bread, biscuits and grapenuts cereal. Hops provide hints of grass and spices, and they complement the earthy yeast esters nicely. Tastes like it even has some kaffir lime leaves in there. Balanced bitterness. Pleasant beer.

hayduke (2531) - Eureka, California, USA - APR 15, 2012
This saison was a draft pour at The Local Beer Bar in Eureka, CA. Pours a hazy butterscotch orange with an off white creamy head. Nose is spicy, with citrus and earth. Medium body. Creamy mouthfeel. Flavor is fruity, with some banana, yeast, and barnyard. The fishing is slightly sour. Overall an excellent smell and flavor that leads to a highly drinkable and delicious beer.
