COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The nose is filled with complex notes of figs, fruitcake, port, licorice, cherry, raisin chocolate, black toffee, coffee and caramel, while it tastes deliciously thick and chewy, with great complexity showing notes of fruits, coffee-roastiness, molasses, licorice, and toffee. This beer is a meal!
Editor's note. The draught version is 9% abv, but also contained under this listing. Edit #2 The bottles are now 9% as well (from 7%)

On tap. Pours deep brown with a small light tan head. Aroma is very strong nutty, dark fruits, light roast, super malty, toffee. Flavor is much the same, so rich and malty all around, tons of that bready nutty character, lots of that dark fruit cake character, into a sweet and pound cake finish, very rich and a touch of cocoa. Medium full to full body and a soft carbonation. Good stuff

Pours a black color. Got this one on draught at max’s as well. Smells of many different fruits and a little whiskey! A bit sweet. Good.

Dark, sweet, with interesting notes of raisin and slight roasted grain tones. Reminds me of a dark, strong Belgian ale in the malt complexity, although heavier. Overall and good dark, malty, lager, but probably a bit too sweet for anything but very occasional drinking.
