On draught at the Wine Tap. Pours a slightly cloudy golden with a nice white head that sticks around. aroma is pine cones and malt. Taste is sweet pale malt and pink grapefruit, but with no bitter aftertaste. Well balanced with lots of hops, but not overdone. Really, really good!

Strong citrus aroma, this DIPA may be brewed on the Third Coast but tastes very West Coast. Malt has equal billing to the bitterness. Full bodied golden ale that can be enjoyed on the East Coast too.
4.4 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20 MBrausen (63) - Minnesota, USA - JAN 20, 2012
A. Pours a golden red hue, a nice 2.5 finger thick head, lots of carbonation, settled to a 2mm head with beautiful lacing
S. Smells of sweet citrus, grapefruit and floral
T. Tastes tart, a bit of sour fruit, sweet orange peel and a bitter finish
M. Medium body, medium-heavy carbonation with a very moist finish
O. A good DIPA. I had it once before on tap at a Bells Rare Beer night and remember it being different. I picked this up at a store that is far from the brewery and I wonder if they may be headed over the hill. It’s more bitter than I remember, but it has been 6 months since I had it. It’s still very good, just not the same beer I remember. I suggest if anyone can try this one fresh in one of the few states you can get it, Go For it!

Pours a golden/amber with a medium white head...nice lacing. Aroma has light citrus...pineapple...vanilla, earthy tea notes, caramel. Flavor is very bitter...earthy with loads of caramely sweetness and significant citrusy hoppiness. Mouthfeel is oily...medium/heavy with a bitter dry earthy/tea flavored finish. A bit to sweet for me but not bad.

Bottle to glass. Amber pour with off white head. Nice aroma with notes of grapefruit, a little bit of white grape, some orange peel. Also has a bit of booziness to it as well. The finish is expectantly bitter and boozy. I like this beer, but it is a little over the top.
