Double Jack IPA is our first ever Imperial IPA. It features a big malty middle to cloak the high alcohol and mouth puckering hop bitterness. Huge tangerine, grapefruit and juicy fruit aroma blossom over the herbal blue basil and malt earthiness of this aggressive beer. Best enjoyed in moderation.

very nice citrus hop aroma with a hint of candylike maltiness..clear orange yellow color with thin white head good lacing..tastes of grapefruit, orange and even lemon with malt mostly for full bodied flavor more than balancing..refreshing perfectly carbonated tingly medium bodied with a bit of stickiness..in short a model of the double ipa style

Bottle from Rehills of Jesmond. Pours amber with a big frothy cream head. The aroma is big,p and juicy with plenty of pineapple especially. The taste starts sweet with a fair amount of spice and juicy tropical fruits before a big lingering bitter finish with stacks of resinous pine. Nice full mouthfeel. First class beer.

Bottle from tderoeck. Many thanks! Hazy amber colour, white foam. Medium carbonation. Very fruity (raisins, pine, mango). Full body, bit alcoholic but very well balanced. Nice!

Golden hue with a lacey white head. Sweet caramel nose with a hint of peaches. A battle between sweetness & bitterness, this beer melds the two perfectly. Sticky toffee pudding vs. pineapples & limes. Lovely. Rated by BrewTom

Keg at Brewdog Bristol. Clear rich reddy amber coloured pour wirh a thin off white head. Aroma is lovely rounded caramel and toffee with sticky hop resin and pine needles. Verging on barley wine. Flavour is composed if rounded caramel, toffee, biscuit malts., sticky hop resin, pine. Assertive clean hop bitterness. Double IPA, crossed with an american barley wine. Palate is velvety, sticky sweet, resinous hop. Some jammy fruits.

A harsh and unforgiving ipa. Probably a billion ibus, but who can really tell. Dentist-trip inducing acidity balanced by a really sweet maltiness. Not beer for the faint of heart.

Very good and pretty much a exact impression of a double ipa. It kinda tastes like a watered down mix of devil dancer and the oracle from bells.

A big thanks to mcberko for sending me this bottle! Cheers mate!

Probada en Top Hops, Lower East Side, New York. La primera imperial IPA de Firestone Walker es sencillamente exquisita. Color dorado casi anaranjado. Sabor floral y cítrico, suave. Una gran IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
