Double Jack IPA is our first ever Imperial IPA. It features a big malty middle to cloak the high alcohol and mouth puckering hop bitterness. Huge tangerine, grapefruit and juicy fruit aroma blossom over the herbal blue basil and malt earthiness of this aggressive beer. Best enjoyed in moderation.

Appearance was clear orangish caramel honey gold with diminishing off white creamy tiny 1 finger head, spotty head. Aromas are sweet caramel, crystal, 2-row malts, hops of citrus fruits, herbal and spicey with estery soft yeasts. Taste are hops of grapefruit, orange, lemon, pine, resin, herbs and spice, alcohol hidden well. Palate was smooth creamy CO2 with meduim-full body, the long amazing balanced smooth finish. Excellance in a bottle...

Excellent beer but I prefer The Calling by Boulevard slightly more. Both are really good but side by side I chose The Calling. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From the 650 ml. bottle. Bottled 07/16/15 so it is a few months old. Copper pour with a tremendous white foamy head that fades back. Busy carbonation. The aroma is full of fruity and floral esters but low in the booze. But yes it is several months old. The body is smooth and medium. The taste has a fruity and floral bitterness just like the aroma suggests. Moderate finish.

Bomber Bottle. Pour is orange in color with slight haziness. Thin head and light too medium carbonation. Tropical fruits aromas dominate. You name it, you can find it, Mango-grapefruit-pineapple and especially tangerine. Velvety mouth feel with a little heat brought on by the 9.5abv. Overall an awesome beer.

UPDATED: OCT 28, 2015 Big bottle at home. Nicely cloudy, orange colour topped by an offwhite, creamy head with good retention. Nose is big on oranges and alcohol, cointreau-like, caramel malty. Taste is velvety smooth considering the big bitterness and alcohol grade: orange zest, pineapple, mango, grainy sweet malty backbone. Lingering fruity, sweet bitterness. Big body, low carbonation, oily mouthfeel. Beautifully balanced IIPA.

355ml bottle from Brewdog. Pours hazy orange, off-white head. Big hoppy nose. Taste is syrupy orange, cointreau, pine resin and citrus fruits. Extremely rich, far too much to be enjoyable.
