4.9 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Bottle. I usually donít let a beer live up to its hype, but Black Tuesday held on to its name and much more. The pour was a dark chocolate color with barely any head. The aroma was sweet chocolate, highly roasted malts, some caramel, dark prunes and cherries, with some vanilla and oxidation in the finish. The flavor was very close to the aroma but with more oxidation, oak, vanilla, coffee, rich chocolate, and not too much of an alcoholic taste at all. This was a surprisingly well balanced beer that is far too easy to drink. More of this has to be made, as it is now one of the most complex, flavorful beers I have tried to date. Fine job, Patrick.

Awesome beer...Big vanilla caramel and toasty toffee. Such a good sherry like on the back end. Everything is so good about this big brew.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
"viscous, big in every way. the ONLY knock is that it may have been even better at a "restrained" 13 or 14% as opposed to nearly 19% for the 2011 batch. Still, for a beer that strong the alcohol was not overbearing, just a little more of a player than iíd like. Chewy feel...loads of vanilla, chocolate, bourbon, dark fruit, roasted malt, hops (no not really:)). A very nice brew that is definitely overhyped, but thatís not really their fault. another iím glad i did not pay for :)"

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Big bourbon aroma and very sweet, malty taste. Medium, syrupy body. More like a barleywine than an imperial stout.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Biggest and best beer from the bruery. Absolutely mind boggling: enormous. Dark fruits, molasses, chocolate, and a humongous amount of booze and bourbon. Itís surprisingly not as thick as you would think, more syrupy and sweet and than big, roasted and bitter. Carbonation is soft. Heavy monster.

A very big beer and as advertised but boozy as hell!!!!

Bottle, sent to me by b3shine-- thanks so much Beau! I shared this with Grippitis and a few others after a nice dinner in front of a comfortable outdoor fire. Pours a dark brown with golden-amber highlights and low-to-medium carbonation. I was surprised to find this beer isnít a black, motor oil impy! The aroma is sweet and boozy. The palate is full of dark fruits and tawny port traits, in equal balance with bourbon....and I actually mean bourbon, not "barrel-and-bourbon"-- thereís a lot of booze in here! The finish is a little hot, edging toward harsh but staying in the sweet spot. So pleased to have tried this hard to get treat!

AWESOME, Big, prune, slight sherry, slrsht anise...boubon oak olfactory, nice heat fro high alcohol. Tar finish, bitter sweet cocoa back bone. Malt complexity finishes this out and a perfect brew in my opionion.

3.8 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
750 ml bottle shared with the Quebec City crew. Pours pitch black with no head. Aroma is chocolate, booze, figs, dates, coffee, tobacco, coconut. Flavor is port wine, figs, tobacco, dates. Finish is boozey, port wine, liquorey. Lingering wood and spirits. Full body, virtually no carbonation. A solid malt bomb.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottled @ Zeebra#2. 10cl sample. The aroma roast, tar, chocolate, and a lot of alcohol. Black coloured beer with a thin dark brown head. The taste is sweet, has roast, tar, caramel/molasses, chocolate/coffee tones all overruled by massive alcohol. Pretty full bodied beer. But well, doesnít live up to expectations.
