COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Medium amber in color, Seeyoulator offers a heady, estery banana aroma. A luscious maltiness predominates, with balancing notes from Hallertau hops. Cedar aging lends just a hint of spice to the finish.

Amazingly pleasant beer. Just perfect munich malt flavor. A little something by way of the cedar. Conditioning and fresh flavor is immaculate; to conclude any less shows a lack of perspective at the very least!

750ml Bottle; Marked 2-2009 8/10 - I have to say I was a little concerned about the age on this one, but mostly.. though I had low expectations, I was pleasantly surprised. This one pours dark brown . amber, with a fine bubbled, fairly nice khaki head in this dimpled mug. It retains better than expected, to be certain. Cedar aging, perhaps - but the nose comes across more like maple.. with some nice dark malts (caramel, syrup, toffee) , and some really light fruit esters as well - The flavor profile is definitely more muted at this point - and while the aforementioned aromas come through - more dark malts, fruit esters... the cedar aging is ever present.. and the finish is a little mediocre. Interesting... not my fav.

2010 pours dark copper with a little khaki head. Nose is big with some booze dark fruit and grain. The taste is also big with the alc prominent and a fight between the grain and the spicey piney cedar. The hops are light but make the brew nice with a bit of dry balance. There is an earthy quality to it and a familiar German doppelbock taste if you look for it. The palate is creamy and pretty smooth, this is very enjoyable, I hope boulevard decides to make this again.

Not much to write about this now retired beer other than for me and my fiance we both agreed that this was a one trick pony. All you can taste from this beer is the wood used to age the beer. Nothing more, nothing less and the taste itself is even small. It was like I was drinking an empty beer. Now maybe I got a bad bottle. Looking at reviews people are picking up different things here but we both agreed we couldn’t at all.

750ml bottle 1/13/10 (RSRIZZO’s Gathering)-Pours a cloudy amber with no head. Aroma of sweetness, caramel, and dried fruit. Taste of the same. This medium bodied brew was rather tasty for a style I don’t care for.

Bonus points because I like the name. Pours nearly flat. Aroma is apple juice and hay. Taste is more apple, grass, light caramel, and flat finish. Needs some carbonation.

Brought from Louisville. No head really, big ass bubbles. Smells like apple juice, some spiciness in finish. Doesn’t really taste like beer

750 ml bottle shared at the Beerhive.
A nice Dopplebock, notes of raisins, dark stone fruits, big malt character. This is a solid, clean beer. The Smokestack series seems to be a solid line of beers, I have yet had one that I did not think was well crafted. Well done Boulevard.

Location: 750 ml bottle from Colonial Wine and Spirits, 11/29/11

Aroma: The nose has some caramel, brown sugar, burnt malts, raisin, bread, and alcohol
Appearance: This one pours a clear mahogany color with a small beige head and fairly light lace
Flavor: Tastes medium-heavy sweet, some caramel and raisin, minimal bitterness, finishing flavor of alcohol
Palate: It is fairly full bodied, a bit sticky, with some boozy heat, and it has a slightly metallic feel on the finish
Overall Impression: This is a pretty solid, but not great, Doppelbock. It is a touch too one-dimensional for me with the sweetness. It could have used a little balance. The booziness really fades as it warms, and you are left with a sweet beer that isn’t a complete winner, but is far from being a sugary mess.
