I’ve had this on two seperate occasions at the brewpub. The first time was last year and it stole the day from Dreadnaught, but this time Dreadnaugt was better. Yellowish hazy gold in the glass with a soft pure white head. Tons of citrus and floral hops in the nose. The malt character is somewhat lighter than Dreadnaught, making it less sweet, but allowing a more complex hop flavor through.

100ml, tap at the first day of CBC. Apricot coloured body, faint, white head. Smell of fresh and dried fruits. Fresh apricots and tropical fruits in flavour with a mild touch of dried fruits and malty sweetness. Nice smooth, bitter aftertaste that lasts for quite a while. One of the highlights at the festival (Copenhagen, 11.05.2012).

The taste is flush with bitter pine. The hop bitterness is strong with this one. Dry, slightly sweet, the combination of alcohol and carbonation make this one prickly on the tongue.
There’s a decent amount of maltiness; this definitely falls into the realm of a Midwest DIPA. I also got mild tones of lemon on the finish. I found the mouthfeel to be unpleasantly dry. The bitterness on the finish bordered on aspirin, and this was a little boozy for my taste. Full-bodied for an DIPA, with medium to high carbonation. Overall I didn’t care for this.

deep golden with amall head. off the charts hoppy bitterness. less smooth than the dreadnaught, but that’s the point, right?

Pours golden with a white head. Aroma is malt, caramel, citrus, grapefruit and peach. Flavour is malt, caramel, heavy citrus and grapefruit.

22 oz bottle thanks to Pat! Pours a dark orange with a slightly cloudy appearance and a nice white head. Aroma of citrus and sprucy hops. Taste is slightly sweet and just right on the bitter. Smooth to drink leaves a nice malty front with a hop finish. Very nice IIP. One of the better in the style.

Pours a cloudy apricot colour with off-white head.
Scent is sweetly fruited and hoppy.
Flavour is fruit....peach, apricot, grapefruit....a little candied.
Sweet and bittter present in each sip.
Great beer.

Pours dark, light hazy yellow with a creamy, off-white head. Good lacings. Aroma has fat resiny hops, peach, light vinious. Medium carbonation, nice dry and oily mouthfeel. Flavour is great and sharply bitter, peach, oranges. Long, lingering piney bitterness. Lovely.

Tap @ Copenhagen Beer Celebration, 2012. Hazy deep golden with small white head. Aroma is malt, fruit, citrus, hops, pine and a little grapefruit. Flavour is malt, fruit, hops, little sweet, citrus, pine, little grapefruit and bitter.

CBC. Clear golden with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and rather hoppy - grapefruit and pine needles. Flavor is quite sweet and very bitter. Dry and very bitter finish. 110512

On tap at CBC. Pours golden with a medium steady off white head. Sweet fruit, hops and sweet malt in the nose. The flavour is fruity and peachy with notes of caramel and passion fruit.
