COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

UPDATED: OCT 3, 2014 (Bottle). Very nice and fresh hop aroma with a solid foundation of roasted malt, slightly smoky with hints of licorice. Great taste of roasted malt and licorice with distinct flavors from the hops. In some respects reminiscent of a Porter. Absolutely superb beer!

Great looking beer, with super fresh hop aroma, and the hard to achieve clean finish in a black ipa. On the other hand, not all that much malt character. Excellent body with a little alcohol warmth. Very easy drinking.

Bottle. Pours hazy black with airy tan head. Clear aroma of hops and citrus, with notes of malt and fruit. Bitter, intense, hoppy flavour with notes of citrus, complemented by sweetish touches of yeast and malt. Hints of liquorice. Bitter aftertaste with citric hints. Good stuff.

Bottle, 7.5%. Good jammy hop aroma, fruity and piney. Black colour with a faint red shine. Small stable light brown head. The flavour is sweet and quite roasted to begin with. Then comes a distinct bitterness with a good hop bite in the finish. Teaish hoppiness, also piney and citric. Very roasted malt base also.

Black with huge frothy light tan head. Piney, grapefruit aroma. Thick, creamy mouthfeel. Flavour has pine, passionfruit and chocolate. Bittersweet and fruity. Long, bitter finish. Nice.

Bottle at home. Brown black body with a medium light brown head. Taste is chocolate, light roasted malt, hops, very hoppy more than expected. Very good!

Black color, big beige head. Aroma of grapefruit, malt, pine, hint of chocolate. Sweet bitter taste with hoppy finish and fruity aftertaste. Medium body and average carbonation. Really good black IPA.

Bottle shared with some brahs. Pours brown-black with small head and random lacing. Notes of rye, roasty malt, pumpernickel, chocolate, and earthy grain. Its pretty hoppy and bitter but more reminiscent of a porter than a black ipa. A nice tick anyway you slice it.

Bottle at home, bought in Stockholm, 21st March 15. Pours big head, good lacing. Liked this, lots if bitter hops, great sweet balance, good roastiness, reminded me of Thornbridge Raven, so good.
