4.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20 minch25 (564) - Medford, USA - NOV 16, 2011
Dull hazy orange body; full sticky head of foam that quickly settles. Soft powdery texture (reminds of nelson sauvin, or mt hood?). Moderate earthy herbal bitterness. Very drinkable, very tasty. About as good as IPA gets, right up there with Sculpin IPA.

Pours amber, white head, about a finger. Smell is citrus. Taste is somewhat piney. Scarlet Fire is better IMO.

Ok, very caramelly and a little flat. Any hop flavors only come out on the finish. Possibly a lit past its prime. Bomber from the brewery.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Dogbrick (4843) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - APR 6, 2012
Sample at the brewpub. Clear copper color with a medium thick and fluffy white head that evaporates slowly. Sticky rings of lacing on the glass. The aroma consists of citrus fruits and sweet caramel. Medium body with a citrusy hops character and notes of caramel malt and toffee. The finish is hoppy with a grapefruit aftertaste. Above average overall.

A smooth and decently pine and grapefruit bitter hop ipa. Bottle from a recent trade. Clear golden color. Sticky sweet and resiny sort of mouthfeel. Aroma is a little bubblegum. Flavor comes in with a mostly caramel malt and nice body. Finish is citrus, a lot of pine and long lasting pine cone lingering taste.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Wombata (210) - Kobe, JAPAN - AUG 17, 2011
On tap at the brewery. Aroma: Fruity peach dominates.
Flavor: Medium sweet peach, turns to dry peach and lingering resinous hop finish.
Comment: This used to be their hoppiest IPA but now is the least hoppy one. It has also the lightest body.

Hmm...the flavor is actually quite bitter - more so than the Scarlet Fire, but not in a better way. Still pretty good. Just mostly bittering hops.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 TheRealMGD (385) - Lakewood, Washington, USA - MAR 6, 2011
Tap @ Big Time. Hazy, oarnage-gold pour with a white head which fades quickly to leave a coarse lace. Toast and pine nose. Medium body with pine, grapefruit and light toast flavors. Very pleasant, nicely balanced with a solid mouth feel. Not the hop-forward IPA typical of the Left Coast, but a good example of the more common American IPA.
