Had to dig up the notes from RBSG 2008 once I saw this was rateable. Poured a thick-looking black color with an extremely dark tan head. The aroma had the significant presence of the nutty-chocolate character of coffee and not much bitterness - the coffee nose seemed to meld well with the aggressive roast and alcohol of the Speedway and not get overpowered. The mouthfeel was creamy, and the coffee presence followed suit on the taste, with a lingering savory finish accenting the spicy roasty middle. One of the highlights of the whole trip.

Draught @ AleSmith. Beautiful black color, slight mocha head. Wafts of coffee on the nose. Roast, chocolate, coffee in insane quantities flesh out the palate. Oily body, low carb, viscous. More extreme version of the original Speedway. Incredible.

Thanks to Dak for the share left before trying the other chili Speedway variant he had. Poured rich dark black. Aromas of fresh steeped espresso and roast. Wonderful rich coffe flavors. Earthy, roasted, chocolately awesomeness. Wonderful stuff. Like a fine cup of Joe I could sip for hours. This is indeed The Shit!

Probably the best stout I have had. Dark and dank, with a beautiful brown head. The aroma is full of amazing coffee scents. the flavor is sweet and malty, roasty and full of coffee deliciousness. To take one of the best imperial stouts in the world and add the Kopi Luwak coffee to it was brilliant.

Hard to get a handle on the appearance because the pour was so small. Aroma is heavy coffee. Taste is chocolate with rich creamy coffee and cinnamon. Bitter. Slight hazelnut. Really bold coffee taste. Maybe some coconut. Great balanced palate and good mouthfeel.

Sweet and spicy aroma. The cask may have had an effect but in addition to coffee and chocolate there is a weird finish. Still great but not as good as BA speedway which was also on draft at hamiltons that night

On tap at Alesmith. Drank 4 variations of Speedway today. This was my favorite of the 4. Aroma is lots of roasted coffee, similar to espresso. Taste follows. Similar to regular speedway, but just dialed up a notch.

On tap at Alesmith. Black pour with an expresso tan head.  Aroma is ultra rich fresh coffee, roast, and chocolate.  Just pure ripped coffee.  Taste is ridiculous fresh coffee with a heavy roast character, bitter chocolate, and a bit of malt sweetness on the very end that comes across as subtle raisin/dark fruit. Smooth, almost creamy mouthfeel.  Side-by-side with the regular and as hard as it is to believe this is better with more coffee, more roast, and more chocolate.

12oz handbottle thanks to ygtbsm94. Pours a flat lighter amber that looks decently black in the glass with zero head. Nose is heavy aromatic coffee, lemon acidity, dark chocolate fudge, brown sugar, toasted malt. Flavor is sweet, creamed coffee, mocha and espresso with creamy Kahlua heat. Medium bodied albeit thin for style. Nice roasted coffee finish. Consider this rating a place holder until I get to try it on nitro fresh in southern California. And oh will that day be a reckoning.

keg at rbwg 3/5/11. pours like speedway...dark and oily. this version has a weird vegetal quality and sourness on the finish i dont get from the regular speedway.
