On draught at Bailey’s Taproom. I love a sweet malty beer, and this fit the bill perfectly. While not hoppy whatsoever, the alcohol is hidden slightly below the surface. A favorite.

Pours a golden color with a white head. Fruit, spice, yeast, clove and malt aroma and flavors. Medium full body with average carbonation. Fruit, spice and yeast finish.

Labeled as a quad, but very light and caramel in appearance. Minimal head, sweet caramel notes, dull candy-very balanced and not overly sweet. Very nice sipping beer. Not quite a "finisher" but a penultimate beer. Nicely done. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Clear caramel orange in color... Aroma is candi sugar sweetness... Flavor is really sweet, notes of banana, candi sugar, toffee, with more toffee on the palate... Not a lot of balance, but then again, hides the ABV extremely well... Enjoyable ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap @ 21A. Murky orange pour with a white head. Pure bubblegum and cotton candy. What the h? Vanilla, sugar, banana, and more sugar. Fucken a! Cloying sweetness on the palate. Overwhelming banana, bubblegum, and cotton candy. Sugar, lucky charms, and vanilla. A bit of ethanol on the finish.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours cloudy amber with a nice off-white head and a yeasty fruit aroma. There is a very sweet caramel malt flavor with a bit of banana ester and a dry slightly bitter finish.

On tap at the brewery. Actually listed as 12.1% on the draft board this year. It pours a deep golden color with an off white head. Very light color for a quad. The aroma has fruit syrup, red berries, honey and Belgian yeast spiciness. The flavor has over ripe fruit and dried tropical fruit mix. Thick mouthfeel. Spicy Belgian finish. Very nice sipper. Sweet, but not overly alcoholic or abrasive considering the strength.

Draft. Rich amber beer with an off-white head. Sweet malt and psice aroma. Sweet malt flavor with spice, yeast, and light orange/summer fruit. Medium-plus bodied. Alcohol present, but doesn’t seem this high. Yeast, spice, and sweet malt lingers with light esters.

UPDATED: DEC 29, 2009 Belgian-style Quad served on draft at the brewery. This beer has a beautiful honey-orange color with a creamy white head. While the color is great, i expected it to be darker for a Quad. The nose has subtle esters/delicate fruit backbone. Taste is a little too assertive, but it has a full mouthfeel and nice malt. The Belgian yeast mingles well with the malts through the mid-palate with the esters again taking stage during the long finish. I rated this higher the first time i had this, but it was not as good on the second try. The 11.8% alcohol seems somewhat hidden for this well balanced beer - but two of these would make the alcohol known. 30 IBUs.
