Bottle aged for some years. No head at all. Fantastic aroma of dried fruits, cocoa heavy dark chocolate and liquorice. Complex taste of the usual chocolate, coffee and liquorice, but then you get that fruity, warming and spicy taste. No carbonation, but still the mouthfeel is magnificent . Pure magic!

Bottle. Black beer with a minimal head. Malty, coffee, licorice and chocolate aroma. Sweetish, brown sugar, dark dried fruits, chocolate, licorice flavour with some smokey notes.

Bottle. Pours black with a small beige head. The aroma is coffee, roasted malt, booze, dark fruit and dusty hops. The flavor is very sweet roasted with notes of coffee and chocolate. Too sweet. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

aroma is insanely strong coffee which covers everything else, might not work for most but works for me. taste is coffee medium sweetness. Finish is sticky heavy sweetness that sticks in ur mouth. alcohol burn at the very end but doesnt affect my rating.

0,25l bottle brewed 03/07/2008, batch 373, bb 2018. Almost black color, hint of red. Some white bubbles. Extreme aroma of licorice, coffee, alcohol. Taste is licorice, coffee, some hops, alcohol. Extreme stout, worth tasting.

Tap at Beer Palace, Oslo, on their 20th anniversary. I had this one along with the fourth edition, which was an interesting experience. Pours pitch black with a minimal beige head. The aroma is very fruity and malty, malt extract, brown sugar, sugar syrup, coffee. The taste is dominated by sweetness, almost to a sickening level. You feel the brown sugar, malt extract, sugar canes, a wee bit of prune. The finish feels like black coffee mixed with sugar, and reminds me a little of Baily’s as well. Very sweet finish but you also get a nice kick of some proper licorice which is nice. The palate is pleasant and full on, well carbonated for the style. I’ve got a bottle which will be left to mature for a little while still, so maybe it’ll develop some new characters in a few years. Generally this one is too sweet, I guess you can easily share a 0,25 bottle on four people.

Bottle. Pours a deep dark black with a thin tan head. Aroma of coffee beans, roasted malts, rich chocolate, brown sugar and alcohol. Flavor was very sweet and intense with brown sugar, dark fruit, molasses, chocolate, licorice, coffee and had a touch of smoke with a nice warming semi dry finish.

0.25 flaske drukket på hytta med esp0r. Køl svart uten skum eller karbonering. Mørke smaker. Kaffe,kandissukker,lakris,karamell. En fornøelig liten sak som funker som dessert. Greit med liten flaske siden den er på 15.5%

Like sherry with heavy dark fruit tone and aroma with a dry envelope surrounding it which seems to have an almost sticky burnt character to it.

Bottle from mane liquor. Cheers once again josh! Sexy jet black pour with a small tanned head. Awesome lacing left clinging to the glass. Nose has vanilla, oak, chocolate and dark fruits. The taste brings out the coffee notes with a large sweetness about it. Almost a candied type toffee sugariness about it. Because of the sweetness the booze isn’t overly noticed...which is something I’ve come to expect from nogne o. This is an exceptional beer ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
