750 ml bottle - pours amber brown with a small lingering beige head. Nose is nuts, bit of cognac & port, some raisins. Body is fairly light with no balance. It’s sweet and watery at the same time. Taste is a bit of madeira... Kind of fail.

330ml bottle. Liquor, some spicy aromas. Pours dark, amber tones, with nice off-white head. Medium body, average to high carbonation, some crispy texture. Taste is sweet, some wood, fruity, caramel. Subtle sour flavours. Nice balance. Enjoyable.

tasted the 2012 edition from the bottle, dark brown, almost no foam when poured in in a normal way, strong caramel scent, strong caramel taste (bit burnt) and you feel/taste this one is 11° in alcohol - nice one!

Pours clear reddish brown with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, alcohol and dried fruits. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a long warm, caramel and fruity finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Dark red-brown with a fast tan head. Nose is fruity and leans toward cherries, with a little booze and alcohol. Flavor is a little less extreme and had the usual belgian strong elements. Finish is long and sweet. Good ale.

Deep brown pour with a beige head. Aromas of dried fruits, brown sugar. Really smooth and well balanced. This finish is nut and caramel. Alcohol well hidden. Good stuff.
