COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The citrus punch of a big IPA, minus the one-dimensional hop sledgehammer. Seven select European and domestic malts round out the edges for a complex, copper-colored brew. Like its namesake ski lift, it’s an insider’s ride to fresh thrills.

The build of this beer is definitely something to be enjoyed. Nice Copper hazy, with a dense creamy head. Nice amount of carbonation coming up from the middle. Smell is certainly the carastan malt, with some definite sweetness. Opposite of Cigar City’s Tocobaga Red. Mild hop aroma. Very nice mouthfeel, creamy. You can really taste the spicyness of the red malt in this one, which pairs nicely with the hop flavor. Not overly obnoxious, but well hopped. I could drink this all day. Not too forgiving. Enjoyability 4.5/5

Poured from bottle into tulip glass. Pours golden and settles amber with a frothy tan head atop. A neutral aroma, but sweet to the sense. Medium bitterness with a malt taste, rather pleasant. Palate is sharp at first. Overall 15. Decent camping brew.

On tap at St. Augustine’s. Pours a slightly hazy golden with a huge white cream head. Aroma is sweety, with tropical fruits and caramel. Very pleasant. Taste is similar to smell, very smooth. Tropical fruits sophisticated bitterness aftertaste. Very pleasant beer.

Poured from bottle with light golden color that settles to amber in the glass. Thick frothy tan head at top with a slightly fruity scent. Taste is smooth and not too bitter, to me tastes of a small amount of caramel. The palate is tender to the lips tongue and mouth. Overall 15. Decent camp fore beer.

Bottle pour - slightly reddish copper hue - modest white head with ample lacing. Aroma is piney hop forward, with citrus hops lingering in the background...plus a pretty decent yeasty malt feel - intriguing. Flavor is more malty than anticipated - the piney hop expectation is definitely present, but the bready malt backbone keeps things in line quite nicely - not the hop bomb I was anticipating by default. Palate is medium bodied - ample carbonation...easy drinking...admittedly a bit high ABV for such purposes, but this one is quite sessionable - solid overall!

Large, thick, foamy beige head with a lighter amber/dark copper body. Darker than a usual pale ale. Citrus aroma - a bit of malt, grassiness, and floral elements. Taste is citrusy with a bitter feel mixed with a solid malt backing. Citrus upfront, followed by sweetness, and a bit of toasted malt feeling at the end. There is no lingering hop bitterness at the end. Low carbonation and a somewhat creamy smooth mouth feel. I think this is what they mean by a clean finish. I quite enjoy this one.

BOTTLE. (BO.08Jan16) Dark gold in colour with thick yet small off white head.. Sweet malt with some floral musky notes on the nose.. Nice sharp sweet malts roll into a medium hop bitterness, finishing with a good balance of the citrus hops & sappy malt.. Sourced Cellarbrations @ Capel

Howler fill. Amber pour, tall foamy and sticky head. Nice citrus hop aroma, stonefruit. Same through the taste. Lovely pale. lighter carbonation. Very drinkable.
