4.8 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Iím going to do it... here we go... 4.8!
Exactly what I want in a beer. I never thought Belgian yeasts and NW hops could be blended correctly, and this made me very sad. This beer completely changed my outlook on this, and the brewers somehow used Cascadian hops to enhance the flavour. I donít know how they did it, but Iíve been learning how to homebrew recently and can think of no other beer which I want to emulate more than this. Itís quite expensive here in Canada but Iím planning to buy many more.
Love the balance between aroma and flavour so much, how they are at once completely new and unexpected, with the citrus hops on the nose and slight Belgian fruitiness on the tongue, yet go together so well.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours cloudy pale amber with a fat finger of dense pillowy light tan head, great retention and moderate chunky lacing. (4/5) Nose is caramel malt, dark fruit, herbal hops and mild spice. (6/10) Taste is moderate sweet, and mild bitter. (6/10) Medium body, moderate to low carbonation. (3/5)
Well, itís obviously way, way past its best before - the hops are way muted and altered, but itís not actually off. Still surprisingly drinkable, but Iíll rate this again when I see a fresh one. (12/20)

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
750ml bottle -
A really nice offering that seemed a little out of place being consumed on a cold winterís evening. Weather notwithstanding, this really is a nice beer. A nice mixture of sweet and spicy notes, leafy-grassy-herbal hop aroma melds nicely with some phenolic notes floating around too. Fruity and earthy tasting, like eating a dried pit-fruit. Belgian yeast profile does show up here too. Definitely Belgian in its delivery.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
A vibrant golden straw or copper beer. A dense thick white head awaits you after the pour.
Fairly aromatic beer with a nice sweet malt character spicy yeast and subtle hints of citrusy hops and banana.
A nice tasting malt bill with maybe even some toasted malts. Hops are present but not over powering, more soft and subtle.
with a lightly citrus flavor.
Medium mouth feel that doesnít get watered down or flat as you progress through.
Spritzy with above average carbonation.
Since Iím not that much of a wine drinker this would be an excellent choice to a BYOB.

4.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
Appearance:Color is a bright orange/amber with a nice white head
Aroma:Smells of citrus with maybe a bit of lemon, quite pleasant.
Taste:Tastes of orange and a slight breadiness with a hint of white grape or pear flavor, and ending with the perfect amount of hop bitterness.
Palate:A very clean mouth feel with a light-medium body with a slight bitter note at the end.
Overall:This is my favorite pale ale to date, nothing offensive with just the right amount of flavor and bitterness. Definitely pick this up if you happen to see it.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
(US backlog 2012-13) 12oz bottles in NOLA SEP2012 and Madison/WI SEP2013. Dry and hoppy execution of a lower abv Belgian-style pale ale that I would like to see more of back at home: pleasant fruitiness stopped short before it verges into fuming esters, near-saison dryness, Liberty Ale-style use of Cascades. Does the BE "cathedral windows" of foam well. Best of both worlds.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
The body is hazy and has an orange/gold colored body with a creamy light beige head. Its head is tall and frothy which makes nice spotty and slippery lace on the glass. As I slowly drink the head slowly settles to thin cap of foam that lasts to the last sip. In the nose I pick up sweet fruity and funky yeast with some bready maltiness and light floral/citrusy and spicy hops. On the tongue there is a similar mix of what was picked up in the aroma. I get notes of fresh peaches, white grapes, dried apricots, and funky/doughy yeast. This has a sweet character that begins to dry out as some of the hops move in and adds there mild bitterness and floral, citrusy grapefruit flavor.
