COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This fine pale ale has citrus and tropical fruit aromatic shared with a well-balanced – yet abundant – hop character. It uses our own Belgian yeast, five malts, two hops, and plenty of patience. Finishing touches include dry-hopping with Cascade hops and warm-cellaring.

I’m going to do it... here we go... 4.8!

Exactly what I want in a beer. I never thought Belgian yeasts and NW hops could be blended correctly, and this made me very sad. This beer completely changed my outlook on this, and the brewers somehow used Cascadian hops to enhance the flavour. I don’t know how they did it, but I’ve been learning how to homebrew recently and can think of no other beer which I want to emulate more than this. It’s quite expensive here in Canada but I’m planning to buy many more.

Love the balance between aroma and flavour so much, how they are at once completely new and unexpected, with the citrus hops on the nose and slight Belgian fruitiness on the tongue, yet go together so well.

At Beer Bistro in Toronto. Love seeing appropriate glassware. Hazy orange poor with a light head. Light hoppy scent. A touch of flower. Very easy to drink. Very balanced. Not big hop attack. My wife who loves IPA s says it doesn’t have enough pale ale qualities for me that’s a good thing.

Golden orange with an exuberant white head. Some yeasty Belgian aromas and a little coriander. Taste is lightly toast bread and farmhouse yeast with a very slight sourness. Some light peppery spice and coriander. Body is fairly thin. Although it sounds like there are a lot of hops added to this, there is very little hop flavor or bitterness to be found which seems strange. Overall a light and refreshing beer somewhat like a Saison.

A hazy amber with big white rocky head with good retention and nice sticky lacing. Initially get aromas of citrus peel and cracker malt along with underlying fruity esters like apple. Taste follows nose with some citrus and grassy notes with barley malt flavors and a nice low astringent and phenolic taste. Mouthfeel is somewhat light with a prickly medium/high carbonation. Drinkable but not very complex and mouthfeel could be softer, but a decent beer, if not the best example of the style. Ommegangs Fleur de Houblin is better. ---Jeremy H

12 oz bottle. Pours a hazy rust color with a thick foamy ivory head. Nice lacing. Aroma of bread, funk, floral hops, tropical fruits. Caramel, citrus, pineapple, bread malts, floral hops and spice. Has a nice spicy tingle. Dry malty finish. Very balanced. A nice very nice brew to enjoy in this beautiful weather. Light and fresh.

Pint at some LA Valley restaurant. Poured a slightly hazy golden color with a small, dense white head. Aroma was Belgian yeast notes, some grain character and hops. Flavor was yeast character, sweet malts, nice hop balance in this one. Pretty enjoyable.

Poured from a bottle into glass. Clear golden yellow pour with a huge foamy white head. Smells big on hay, yeast, some faint hops. Tastes crisp, citrusy, some yeastiness and funk. Good deal of carbonation. Clean and straight ahead.

On tap at Bar Hop. Cloudy orange pour, delicate white head. Aroma is yeasty, floral, cheese, citrus pepper and honey. Light mouthfeel. Light sweetness with a slightly tart, dry bitter finish. Very delicate complexity. It doesn’t challenge as much as I expected, but still very nice.
