22 oz bottle - hazy light orange with a fluffy white head and a lot of sediment floating around. Has a nice grapefruit aroma and taste. Finishes dry. Best beer I’ve had all weekend.

22oz bottle. Pours hazy gold with huge frothy white head that lingered. Aroma is grapefruit, peach, pine. Flavor is mild bitterness but extremely powerful hop flavor. Citrusy and fruity. Great carb and the ABV hidden well. Awesome citrus aftertaste. Overall, great DIPA as most of Port offerings.

Pours a hazy, golden orange. Looks like a wheat but not as bright. Thin white head. Super sticky lacing. Pine, grapefruit pith, brown sugar and alcohol....but smooth. Nice and hoppy, resiny, spring sap, citrus pith and a touch floral. Some malty sweetness that is stifled by the bitter goodness. Medium-thick and slick. Moderately bitter with lingering pine but not overly abrasive. Nice.

A slightly cloudy, orange beer with a medium and blond head. Aroma is tropical fruity, peaches, some pine needles, very fresh aroma. Taste is tropical fruity, strognly bitter, grapefruits, very long, grapefruity and citrusfruity sour aftertaste. Medium bodied, nice to drink. Strongly citrusfruity and grapefruity sour and bitter beer.

Big bottle. Dark golden-yellow colour, hazy and dense liquid with big head. Aroma: lots of exotic fruits, especially mango and citruses. Taste is bitter and hoppy, some vegetables, citruses, grapefruit. Dry with alcoholic and bitter aftertaste. Pretty cool beer.

A must try. It didn’t blow me away but the Mongo was better than I thought it was going to be. The only negative was a more than slight after taste that stuck around. A lingering after taste can be good or bad. In this case it didn’t do anything for me.

JanLaursen (1118) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - MAY 21, 2012
Draught at CBC. Slightly hazy golden with an off-white head. Enticing hoppy nose with lots of sweet fruity aromas. Flavor is sweet, light malty with a fullblown heavy bitter hop profile and a greasy texture. Resiny, herbal, grapefruity notes and a long lingering bonedry finish.
