A messy American sour might have been inspired by Rodenbach but tastes more like acidic apple juice and red vines. A beer best shared with friends to minimize the amount you personally have to drink, the contents are nothing more than a tick. Don’t pick this up and try to age it beyond a month or two.

Aroma / Appearance - The carbonated caramel brown base overdoes the bubbly nature as the head surges upwards. After a minute it collapses to nothingness. Oak, vinegar, and caramel brownies rise with an acidic tone that highlights the cherry red vines.

Flavor / Palate - The acidic bite immediately blasts the palate with vinegar and cherry pits. Warm apple juice carried by the chewy mouthfeel hits the throat first. Soon afterwards the vinegar sticks to every surface. More balance beyond a malt driven acidity would do remarkable things for a confusing mess of mixed messages.

RBESG pt 18. Moncada. Grand Tasting. Hazy amber beer, residual pale cream colour head. Palate is very light, also dry and crisp. A nice mix of sharp gueuzey sourness, lemon and fresh orange which is set off by a nice vanilla oak. Crisp dry finish. Interesting and tasty.
