COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Black Damnation series is a dark twist of Urban’s mind. His idea is to realize a dozen beers with the use of Black Albert, and over a period of two years, that are as black as hell, filthy rich in the nose and with a massive taste.

Black Damnation III was made with Black Albert that aged for 3 months on Paul Melia’s (Mes) favorite Whisky, the "Caol Ila’s Distillers Version 1995".

Pours dark with low latte brown head Loverly aromas of dark fruits, hints of dark chocolate, coffee beans, dark malts Wow! Great mouth feel - perfectly balanced between sweetness, bitterness and bodyness. A lot of coffee and dark chocolates. Bitterness from the dark malts. This is an extremely good imperial stout!

Pours a deep dark brown color. Small tan head head that lasted throughout. Aromas of bourbon and wood. Flavor was a lot of bourbon, hints of smoke, chocolate. Full bodied and creamy. Tasted more bourbon than beer. WOW, this is a flavorful beer!!

Bottle from trade with Douberd, shared with friends. Many thanks! Massive gusher. Pours black with tan head. Chocolate and cherry aroma and taste, not so much else, slightly sour. Most probably not how it’s supposed to be even though it tasted quite nice.

750 ml bottle at the Hoppy Pub, Thessaloniki. Gusher. Black color with brown head. Aroma is roasted malty and yeasty, chocolate, licorice, coffee, caramel, dark fruits, dried fruits, vinous, wood, alcohol. Sweet and bitter taste, no acidic notes as I was expecting from the aroma, coffee, chocolate, cocoa, dark fruits, smoked notes, tar. Medium to full oily body with soft to average carbonation.

Bottle, older vintage, bb December 2016. Pours a jet black beer with a nice, medium sized, creamy brownish head on top. Aroma of blackstrap molasses, licorice, roasted malts, sweet syrup and no booze. Flavor is intense sweet, loads of cloying, sticky molasses and licorice. Slightly peaty and oaky in the very back. Incredibly full, well balanced and softly carbonated. No real alcohol burn, though the sweetness says it all. Very powerful, very nice. Long sweet aftertaste and sticky mouthfeel. Great stuff.

Pours black, bit of brown foam, not much of it. Aroma has some stronger liquor, barrel dominating, feels a bit boozy, some peat and dark chocolate. Taste is also somewhat boozier and maybe more like usual BA. Peaty, some leather, sweetish, rather powerful actually and getting better when it warms. Whisky barrel comes through. Excellent stuff again.

Pours an opaqu; very dark brown with a reddish khaki head. Cherry soda and dark roasted malt on the nose. Chewy and thick. Sweetness all the way through up to the finish. Cherry, chocolate liqueur, dark roasted malt, sour wood, and papery flavors.

great label to start r awesome appearance: jet black with a healthy, tan head that has excellent retention and lacing. Aroma here is very subtle whiskey, some barrel notes. Mostly rich coffee, bakers chocolate, licorice. Taste is dry, cedar, wood resin, spicy whiskey on top of a rich dark chocolate, roasted malt body. Awesome oily palate

Bottle shared at a tasting. Thanks Jon! Pours a deep black with a small tan head. Strong roasted malt nose with some peat and dark fruit. More of the same on the palate with a light boozy sweetness. ABV is hidden fairly well, but the whisky flavors do show. The peat really stands out as it warms.
