This was pretty damn tasty and dangerously drinkable. Dark, dark brown...almost like dried soda residue or day old black coffee. Lots of great coffee aroma and some fruit present in the aroma. Palate was almost perfect, wasn’t chewy but not watery at all. Barrel flavours in the background at all times, but they aren’t overpowering. Full flavour but very well balanced, nothing is offensive, too heavy, or detracting. Well done, sir!

Bottle 330 ml. Black with a medium dark (!) brown head and superb lacing. Aroma of old coffee, rum, alcohol and bitter-sweet chocolate. Taste is bitter-sweet chocolate, roasted coffee, rum, alcohol and some bitterness. Mouthfeel is creamy and acidic. Full body and harsh alcohol presence. Interesting imperial stout but nothing amazing in this one. Good balance and complexity, but had more expectation for a BA struise beer.

[Bottle] shared by Tim. Thanks! Beautiful, viscous pour with a large, super creamy dark brown head. Aroma is strong black coffee, a little green and black pepper, some alcohol, moderate roastiness. The flavor is lightly sweet on the front, tons of coffee, a touch of pepper, and a bit of astringent bitterness on the finish. Creamy but slightly sharp mouthfeel. Pour out of bottle, thanks a ton Tim! Dark brownish black pour with thin tan head, aroma brought notes of wet coffee grounds, chocolate, toffee, hints of caramel, slight acidity as well. Taste is a nice mix of wet coffee, green pepper, hints of chocolate and sweet caramel malts, hints of an acidic note, some tobacco notes, slight roast, pretty acidic, bitter and dry finish. Don’t really get any rum, but its interesting.

Aroma has some coffee, chocolate and hints of alcohol. Flavour has coffee, dark chocolate and hints of ripe fruits. Warming alcohol in the finish. The second best in BD series – takes a punch in the face from Mocha Bomb.

Pitch black with large dark brown head. Very intense aroma of roasted malts, coffee, chocolate, some rum. Taste also full with chocolate, coffee and a liquorish finish with some bitterness that lasts. Great beer.

@Maxx’s TURD Tasting–11.2oz bottle-pours black with a light brown head. Aroma is coffee-dark malt, chickory. Taste is coffee-sweet dark malt, chickory/earthy hops, some jalepeno.

Black body, dark brown head. Strong aroma of espresso, vanilla, strawberry, dark chocolate. Full body, ideal carbonation. Amazing flavour with lots of coffee, vanilla, strawberry, wood, dark chocolate, roasted coffee, licorice, a hint of rum. Incredible.

Black with a chocolate head which leaves a little lacing. Aroma is coffee, blackcurrant, chocolate. Smooth and well balanced on the palate, slightly sweet rather than bitter on the finish. Taste is dark chocolate, coffee, plum, blackcurrant, fig, rum. One of the best coffee stouts I have had. 

Un cervezón con todas las palabras. Denso, aromático, con esos sabores de café concentrado que la hacen buena para despues de comer, la copa tranquila mientras descansas en tu sofá. Struisse no hacen ninguna mala, de las que he probado, pero esta y Pannepot sin duda se llevan la palma. Una gran birra oscura, muy oscura
