COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Beware! Beware! The Double Oatmeal Russian Imperial Stout will destroy your taste buds like no other. More hops and more malt than BORIS create a super deep roasted and full bodied flavor, making this the great, great grand daddy of all stout styles.

Salmoniform (459) - Sweet Home, Oregon, USA - JUL 3, 2014
Poured from bottle to glass. Dark hue with creamy brown head. Aroma is coffee, barley, grassy, chocolate, caramel, ethanol. Mouthfeel is nice with full body and soft zesty carbonation. Taste is sweet initially with a nice astringent finish that extends through the finish with an ethanol essence. Overall this is a really nice brew.

Bottle. Dark brown/black pour with a fleeting kaki head. Chocolate and caramel bouquet. Big dark roasted malts and bitter chocolate notes. A tangy almost coffee like finish. Average mouthfeel with a good body.

22 oz bottle at home from notes. Pours a dark brown to black color with a small beige head. The aroma and flavor have dark chocolate, big roast, hints of black coffee, molasses, earthy, resiny, wood, there is big bitterness beyond what Boris offers. Alcohol is warming, but finishes strong. I would love to cellar one to see if it smooths out some, but I drink them when they are around.

Klimaet (73) - Aarhus N, DENMARK - JUN 21, 2014
Bottle shared with Asbjørn Skoffer (<3). Pours a pitch black with a dark brown shortlasted frothy head. Looks so good. Aromas of booze, chocolate, burned coffee, hints of oak and some soy aswell. Some black fruit sweetness. Taste is very dark, roasted coffee, chocolate, malt, sweet. Some earthy and oaky in there. Not very boozy taste at all! Has a pretty bittersweet and roasted ending.

Now we’re talking! Håper det går bra å sette seg på sykkelen etterpå.

Shared bottle at local tasting. Pours black with a tiny short lasted head. Aroma is great, intense roasted chocolate, coffee with some soy sauce as well. Taste is intense, thick oily mouthfeel, chocolate and coffe, heavy roasted and some light burning spicy elements towards the finish, smooth finish.
