4.5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Perhaps the best smelling beer I've ever had. Very good balance between malty and citrusy.....just crazy good hop aroma. Of course it has an insane amount of hop flavor...but actually has a pretty rounded maltiness as well. Mostly citrus hops...slightly oaky and musty. Just a wonderful beer.

Poured from 330 ml bottle at Koht (place in Estonian), which is a small bar hidden at end of an alley near Lai 8 in old town Tallinn. There is no sign in front of the bar itself other than the word "Suvi" on the awning covering the stairs to a cellar door. The building at Lai 8 is called Kuldne Lõvi (Golden Lion). Koht recently opened a bottle shop adjacent to the bar. You may see the bottles of craft beer in the window at the corner of Lai and the alley. The door to the bottle shop is on the alley. When we stumbled upon it, a paper sign of the door of the bottle shop said Õllepood Potshop. The bar and the bottle shop each carry over 200 varieties of craft beer.
Very hazy, rusty brown with a creamy, billowing khaki head and excellent lacing.
Aroma of grapefruit, pine, papaya and caramel.
Taste of grapefruit, pine, tropical fruit and caramel.
Medium/full body and medium/high carbonation combine for a very fine mouthfeel.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; cloudy dark copper pour with big frothy beige head, big grapefruit aroma, taste is very bitter square battery like but some would say a square battery is sour all I know this beer is a pleasant experience, leaves a slightly metallic lingering residue on tongue.

Bottle from Cornelius. Murky reddish brown body with a huge creamy beige head. Lots of sticky lacing. Aroma of caramel, grapefruit and wood. Flavour of blood orange, pine and toffee sweetness. It’s dry and very bitter - mouth puckeringly so - but not as astringent as I was expecting (I half thought this would be like drinking lemon juice). Full body with an oily, almost syrupy mouthfeel. Light fizz. The alcohol is well hidden but this is far from easy drinking.

Bottle at home, shared with jeevan. Pours hazy amber with a thin tan head. Massive hop aromas, as you’d expect. Pine, citrus, resin. Taste is hugely bitter. Bordering on unpleasant. Palate-wrecker.

On tap @ mikkeller bar. Ambrata carica velata con schiuma fine bianco sporca. Aroma fruttato complesso. Mango pompelmo rosa scorza di limone. Erbaceo di sempreverde. Non si avverte l’alcolico. Gusto secco molto amaro, resinoso estremamente luppolato ed agrumato. Astringente.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Aroma pine, orange, resin. Hazy amber colour. Taste is brutally bitter, lets be honest about that. But one does not feel the 1000 exactly. Hop flavour is intense, orange, pineapple, overall fruity. This is hop hell with ridiculously long dry earthy finish. Wonderful.

Bottled. Overall the like forever lasting hoppyness is true to this beer. Aggressive hops of a duration of several minutes in the mouth is respectful. This beer is all about dry bitter hoppynes. I do not know if this is a success of failure.
